Expensive for basic diner food. For $18 the burger should have a special sauce or a nicer cheese than American. French onion soups was ok. Better options in the area like Perche

The vibes are immaculate. The food is scrumptious!!! The menu is.....simply *not* a diner menu. It has a very limited selection and nearly nothing for breakfast. In my experience as a Long Islander turned Queens Resident, I'm accustomed to a diner having a veritable novel of a menu, replete with all-day breakfast options galore! Here, not a single hint of a griddle item to be found: no pancakes, no waffles, no French toast, not even a basic breakfast platter (eggs, meat, toast, the usual).
The initial review of the menu was therefore rather disappointing when I had hoped to get pancakes. We had their breakfast burrito (a daily special) and their patty melt (basically French Onion soup on bread - delicious!!).
While I would recommend it highly for the quality of the food, CHECK THE MENU first as the options are woefully limited.

Had a great meal here this past weekend. The restaurant was lively and fun, staff were all really upbeat and friendly and welcoming. My patty melt absolutely ruled. 10/10 perfect experience.

Price was bonkers for what you got (not in a good way) Overall the food does not look like what the google pictures have. Im not sure if it was an off night but the steak tartare came out on a BUN with raw onion slices??? I didn’t know I was in Wisconsin…. The veggie burger was a dry joke and the fish dip should be renamed “cream dip” Because there was hardly any fish in that thing. Just disappointing, the only redeeming quality was the ambiance and cool tshirts. sad.
Awesome space, great food and music. The staff were real pros. Get the tuna melt and enjoy a coffee at the counter.

So pumped about the Hudson Diner! It was the spot Hudson has been waiting for. Such great vibes, great food. The wedge salad, shrimp cocktail and onion rings are what dreams are made of! Can't wait to come back to try it all.
