Had dinner at Sonder Kingston and it was incredible. The beet salad with jalapeño cream cheese was unique and flavorful, and the thick-cut pork chop was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Great wine, calm atmosphere, and amazing service. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Kingston.

An excellent night out. The risotto was so comforting and paired deliciouslu with the Italian white wine. My husband enjoyed a thick cut pork chop with apples and ginger ribbons. The portions were perfect! We ended with the cheese cake which was excellent.
I had heard complaints of it being a tight squeeze for space inside, but it was comfortable for a Friday night dinner crowd. We sat at the bar table and had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves.
Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She had a great sense of humor and did not hesitate to ask the chef about food sensitivity. I could not decide which wine I wanted and she allowed me to sample both before I made my selection. The final pour was generous, but not heavy.
A great place for date night and a really enjoyable experience.

It is a pricy establishment- but it is definitely worth the price. Delicious dishes, whomever is preparing them is incredibly talented at what they do. VERY cozy dining room. If you want to take someone on a date- take them here!
Service was also spectacular. Vivid explanations of each menu item, careful to keep an eye on our table, while allowing us to really sink into our seats and become enveloped in the warm atmosphere of Sonder.

Had such a wonderful meal here. The menu is small, but every dish was so beautifully complex and special. Every bite was a surprise, like, oh I didn't know this could taste like this. The restaurant had such a good welcoming energy, I wish this could be my local. Still dreaming about that beeet dish. ❤️

Expectations weren’t high, and our experience was concurrent with some of the negative reviews. The food was OK. not the worst, not the best. The service was strange. I told my server about my dietary restrictions, and several times she insisted a salad “had no cheese” when I was asking about dairy - but the dressing was clearly a buttermilk dressing and somehow she didn’t know that counted as dairy. I also ordered the steak medium well and it came out very well done. My boyfriend even noted that the risotto was made with regular rice instead of Arborio, which is a weird choice. The pickles were good, and the salad (albeit with dairy) was also decent. Would not come back.

Ate at Sonder tonight. Lovely little restaurant with very good food and a charming outdoor seating area out back. The menu is somewhat limited but the risotto and bean dish were both delicious. The wait staff is attentive. Some constructive feedback for the restaurant - the burger is tiny. If you are going to charge high prices, you should reflect that in the portion size. Serving it with a small side salad would have been nice too. The portions for the other two dishes were more appropriately sized.
Very satisfying meal, everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor.

The menu is short, so come early if you want the whole selection. By 8pm more than 1/2 the menu was gone.
We liked the food but more than 1/2 would have ordered items which were no longer available.

After a much anticipated visit, I leave incredibly disappointed. Our waitress was lovely, but the selection and ultimately food quality was MEH. We ordered the salad, shrimp cocktail and pickles and split the burger. The salad was incredibly overdressed, the shrimp was mush and undercooked, and the burger bun was stale and the patty itself was hard and enormously salted. Every dish tasted like vinegar. There was no originality in any dish. Sadly we won’t be going back nor recommending this spot.
