Delicious food and great service. I would recommend. The only thing was that the automatic room spray(?) was very potent and hindered my dining experience bc I couldn’t smell my food. I think the delicious smell of food would make the customers hungrier and order more food!

This rating is for the restaurant on a standalone basis (hotel excluded). It was a pretty mediocre experience. This had come highly recommended by friends and we were severely disappointed. The starters were the only highlights (we had oysters and the smelt) while the main courses were tasteless. We ordered the fish dish which lacked flavor and didn’t have a whole lot of meat - just batter. Then the beef bourguignon dish literally had ZERO beef and it was the most expensive thing on the menu. When we asked for a recommendation, the waitress suggested it, and it felt like because it was the end of the night, they got lazy, tried to upsell us and just gave us what was left of the entire batch….. which had zero meat. This is probably a 4.2 rated spot but with the $43 meatless beef bourguignon, would give it a 3.6 and 2 star for service

This is a nice place, no notes on service- cocktails a hit : their ginger beer is on point- Trout dip awesome - But *please* let people know that the fish and chips is a full bone and head fish. Never seen it done like that and it should be noted either by menu or server it’s preparation, a bit taken back by the head and having to use my fingers to suck all the meat off the bones for a rustic experience. Nice atmosphere too.

While the ambiance and service of this restaurant (I have not stayed there) are lovely, I was very disappointed as a plant based person to not be able to really enjoy a group dinner there - despite calling ahead and mentioning we had a plant based person in our group and the restaurant noting that in the reservation - however when we sat, the server had no idea.
When part of their mission on the website is, “Not just farmers in name, we believe in supporting farmers and producers who share in our passion of growing and preparing the finest products imaginable,” with the ABUNDANCE of seasonal amazing produce that is available in the Hudson valley (yes i know it’s the winter but still there are local plants / grains available) I was extremely disappointed to only be able to eat these items: French fries, some frisée lettuce with oil/vinegar, bread, or roasted potatoes (which was what I ended up getting.)
You don’t need to have a full plant based menu to have ONE or two plant forward options - it’s 2025, though I know we are a small portion of the overall population there is often one of us in a group and it would have been nice to enjoy a main dish that was plant-celebratory (again, not asking them to be a vegan restaurant) but I think they should change their mission to say they’re celebrating local farmers and produce that only feature animal products.
Anyway, if you’re plant based - don’t come here. this place is not welcoming to us, despite the pleasant staff and warm ambiance.

Our waitress was lovely, but they were very very busy and we were put in the breakfast room, so the poor waitress had to keep running up and down stairs to us, and had a bunch of other tables, obviously. Most of the food was fantastic. I loved my onion soup, the bread and ham appetizer were both fabulous. we ordered a bunch of side dishes and they were sadly, a little underwhelming. The buttered radicchio just tasted like wilted radicchio, the romesco was ok, the mushrooms were good but also underwhelming. goddess salad very good. My husband's burger was downright beautiful to look at and the fries delicious. So I would have given it a 5 because the waitress was so nice and worked so hard, but because of what was probably under staffing, we waited 35 minutes to get our drinks and because a few dishes were a little less than stellar, I dropped a star. We will be back because it was overall very good!

Spectacular meal! Amazing service ! We spent a wonderful evening eating at the bar. Our bartender was amazing and his recommendation's couldn't be better. Do not skip the best onion soup we have ever had as well as a most delicious burger. Drinks were amazing as was dessert. If you are in the area we highly recommend!! We will be back .

Some of the best food I’ve had. Son of a Beesting was absolutely the best cocktail I’ve ever tasted. Service was great. Ambience was wonderful.

Food and drinks: Food was generally quite good, especially the oysters and Burger de luxe. The service was consistently disappointing, careless, and lackluster. Ordered the ham tasting board, which appeared to be a featured item. No one came to tell us about the different hams of which there appeared to be ~8 providers, which made the tasting plate somewhat meaningless. My second drink was ordered after the food was on the table and first drink had been empty for 10 minutes, and I received it when I had one bite left of my dinner. For those prices, that kind of service was extremely disappointing.

Stopped in for a nightcap. Very friendly service, great cocktails, and one of the best desserts we’ve had to this day - don’t skip the sticky toffee pudding! We’ve considered multiple times making the drive up from the city just to have it again. Will be back soon!

This is a review for the restaurant. The atmosphere was very chaotic. Tables were crammed together - other patrons rear-ends kept hitting our table. I couldn't hear anything being said to me. The food was OK. Nothing amazing stood out from the menu. I couldn't wait to be done with my meal so I could get out of there. Pretty sure I suffered some hearing loss. Please allow your patrons more room in your restaurant. Will not be back EVER again.
