This was a car campsite for the Taste of Country Festival. This is the third year we've camped here for the festival. In the past years we have had no complaints. Whomever was running the site this year was extremely unorganized. In the past you we're not allowed to enter and park until all their staff was ready and everything was set which was a 10AM opening. This year we arrived at 9:10AM. There were no trash bag handouts for garbage & recycling. They already had cars parked in the MIDDLE of the lot where in past years they started at the furtherest point and worked their way outward. That way as your setting up your tent you don't have car's whizzing by you to get to a spot past you. The grass was extremely unevenly mowed. Some areas it was 6 inches high while others were extremely low. The reason this is important is because of ticks which people were actually complaining about. There were less porta-potties but on the positive side the company that was maintaining them was very good at keeping them clean and stocked. As for the showers, this was everybody's biggest complaint. In past years the showers we're open 24hrs a day due to the sheer volume of people. This year as we waited at 5:30AM we were informed that they would be unlocking them at 6AM and closing then at 9PM. But day 2 they opened them at 6:15AM and day 3 at 7AM. The person who actually was unlocking them told us every day he DID NOT have the key, he didn't know where it was, it was productions responsibility but yet showed up with it 5 minutes later with the key and was EXTREMELY rude. The last issue was ice delivery 3 times a day in the past. This was not provided this year, not even once a day and we were never informed of the change. We ended up having to lug a sleeve of ice (35 lbs) the length of the driving range/mini golf area. This was difficult for the elderly that were there. In summary, this does not seem like a major problem individually. But when you put it all together it becomes a huge inconvenience for everyone. Had we been properly informed it would not have been an issue but would have allowed us to be better prepared.

Food was consistently good, prepared properly and tasty. Service was friendly but a little chaotic. Apparently owner was having birthday dinner and our server was more concerned with getting that set up than bringing us water. After asking 4 times we finally got a pitcher uncermoniously plopped on the table. Hopefully they will get better.
