This is it. The Katsu Curry.It’s a SIN that I’ve never tried Kohaku, living on LI for the majority of my life.I’ve pretty much given up on “Japanese” food on LI, and just settle for whatever sushi restaurant has the best value. Just wow! The most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in NYC outside of Japan! The sushi has amazing and fresh quality. All dishes are so delicious and flavors bursting with deep-rooted Japanese culture. A hidden mom & pop gem. Delicious!

Kohaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've been coming here for over 30 years. The owner and staff are always courteous and nice. The atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of tables for the patrons to sit down. The food is very good. I usually order the Johnnie roll which consists of crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, rolled in seaweed and topped with shredded crab meat and spicy mayonnaise.
