excellent Cuban cuisine. Great service
The service was great and the food was excellent!
Authentic Cuban cuisine. I tried the bacalao as an appetizer which was very tasty with very little bread filler. Main course was oxtail stew. The meat fell off the bone. Mojito was spot on.Tastones were not oily, fried to perfection. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely a restaurant to experience.
The greatest Cuban food in new York. Feels like walking into a welcoming Cuban home and being offered the best they got.
Absolutely, well deserved 5 stars. Food is delicious. Staff is welcoming. Music is smooth. Price is right. This is the place you want to end or start your week.
I LOVE rincón Criollo, but I also take a lot of pride in my Cuban food. So disappointed when my daughter is excited for picadillo and that's definitely not what she got.
I would’ve given the place 5 stars. The host was great the waitress was awesome the food was great. The bartender was not hospitable, almost rained on myParade. It made me want to leave it was not even thatBusy and she hardly paid us any mind. Not even a welcome or a smile. But everything else was great glad we stayed.
The food is fantastic, authentic Cuban.the chicken and rice is more than 2 people can eat.But what really sets this place apart is the staff, they make you feel like family. We love this place
One of our favorite restaurants! A little far for us to travel To but every single time worth it!
Love the atmosphere and the service. Plus great food. Will come again
BF wanted cuban food so we came here after beach/bike ride. The restaurent inside looked very dark and I'm not sure if there's any seating area. We were seated outdoor. You can smell the sewer and cigarete smoke. It was not very pleasent. Arroz con Pollo: 5/5 I told the waiter to put this order into kitchen first as it indicated on the menu that it's gonna take an hour. It didn't feel like we waited for that long. The risotto and chicken were very moist and the portion was huge. We end up taking 2 full takeout tray home. Coconut Mojito: 5/5 A bit on the sweet side but love the coconut cream with mint Croquetas de Jamon: 2/5 I could not distinguish the meat inside the croquetas...it's definitely not ham. I would not be able to swallow this without the hot sauce but it actually tasted ok with hot sauce. Yuca Rellena: 5/5 Yuca filled with meat. Best yuca dish of the day Rabo Encendido: 5/5 It took the longest for this dish to come out but it's worth the wait!! Oxtail in tomato sauce. the meat was tender and juicy. I finished the whole thing Chuletas Ahumadas: 5/5 basically grilled ham!! Tastes really good though I was so disappointed with their sides. I really think the kitchen staffs should pay more attention to the sides the provide. Yuca in garlic sauce: 1/5 Yuca was not fully cooked. It was very hard at the center. It was also way too garlicy for all of us Tostones: 3/5 Fried green plantains. This one was ok, nothing special Papas Fritas: 1/5 saggy, soft, cold. My kids never leave fries on the table but they left the whole plate. Moro: 2/5 black bean and rice with bacon. Now where is the bacon? The rice itself was ok. It was good when mixed with oxtail sauce Overall I do love their food, just not the side. I would choose to sit inside instead next time and we're definitly coming back!!
Ordered takeout for dinner since I was near the area, I got the shrimp scampi and the palomilla bistec. The quality of the food did not reflect their prices as I felt as they were on the higher end of price range. The shrimp scampi overall was very bland and the shrimp in it was either overcooked or old. The steak (bistec) was also overcooked and tough to chew due to its dryness. Willing to try their other dishes, it's possible the ones I tried were not their specialty.
Truly one of the few times I wish Yelp had a stars plus system as this place NEVER EVER disappoints, in any aspect food service are always excellent HIGHLY RECOMMEND as Rudy and his staff truly make each meal there great !,
Don't usually get the opportunity to eat much Cuban food so I was psyched to try this place out! Best thing we ordered was definitely the smoked pork chops, which were just amazingly juicy and flavorful. We also ordered this flounder (I'm pretty sure it was flounder anyway) that was also delicious. Ropa vieja was good as well and as far as sides went (we ordered a bunch), I liked the sweet plantains the best. Then to top off our dinner, they handed out complimentary dessert shots which I thought was really nice of them :) I'd definitely give this place a shot if you're in the area!
Diamond in the rough Cuban restaurant. Went with a couple who knew their stuff on how to dine Cuban style. Dinner was quick, delicious and the staff was overly friendly from the greeting to the leaving. Highly recommend.
