This establishment has to be one of the BEST pizza places I've ever been to! The quality of the food is top notch, the atmosphere is adorable, the service is AMAZING! I have a million food allergies, the waiters demonstrated such patience in dealing with me. They went back to the kitchen to ask about ingredients, they didn't indicate any frustration in dealing with all of my allergies. I've eaten there twice and both times were a wonderful experience! The food tasted amazing.... even leftovers when we had them the next day! We will be there many more times! We're already looking forward to going back again!

cocktails where great, the pizza flavors where great as was the service the only disappointing thing was they had no Cabernet or Merlot wine which is odd for a friday night. they gave me some red wine that tasted terrible for $12 undrinkable

Ordered to go today, got the octopus and a pizza. I dont know if they dont put the same effort for dine ins but the food was bottom of the barrel mediocre. Octopus was undercooked and at 6 dollars each small slice you could get the same quality off dominos. Pepperoni on the pizza was mid and nothing special. The octopus had barely any flavor and the sauce they included was so basic. Never going again

I’m not quite sure where to begin. My family and I went here on Mother’s Day (afternoon reservation). It was just us and another family. Needless to say, it wasn’t crowded. We ordered 2 pies, a salad and two pasta dishes. Food was mediocre. One of the pasta dishes arrived at the table 15 minutes after all the other dishes arrived. Basically my one son ate his meal and the rest of us sat there and watched him eat. The waiter had zero personality and enthusiasm. The restaurant itself is so dark and dreary. And the bathrooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. There was dust all over the rafters. With Huntingtons vast array of eateries, this place really needs to step up their game! Won’t be going back.

Dining there on a Tuesday night is a totally different experience than a Friday or Saturday night. Very quiet on Tuesday vs very noisy on the weekends. Good food, fair prices, and nice friendly service.

Food and service excellent. The restaurant is too dark and dreary. Would be great place with a little makeover. I understand it sort of turns into a club at night which makes sense. But for lunch it's a little dark.

Poor customer service. I called at 8:24pm for a pickup order for 2 things and even though the restaurant closes at 9pm, was rudely told their kitchen closes in 6 minutes and that they are refusing to take any more orders. I totally understand calling a restaurant late and how annoying that can be but their kitchen was still open and this was 40 min before they were even set to close. Plus the order was not anything large or difficult just sounded like they did not want to work. Seems like they do not value their customers nor are interested in getting business.

The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I ordered their signature pizza and a hearty plate of pasta. The pizza was perfectly baked with a crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and an array of fresh toppings that burst with flavor. The pasta was equally impressive, cooked to perfection with a savory sauce that complemented the dish beautifully. Overall, my experience at 1653 Pizza company was great. The combination of delicious food and exceptional service makes it a place I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. I look forward to visiting again soon!

I recently visited 1653 Pizza and had a generally positive experience, though with a few hiccups. The food was pretty good overall, starting with the artichoke appetizer. The concept behind the dish was great, but unfortunately, the artichoke was a bit undercooked, which slightly affected the texture. Two of us ordered the pizzas, which were both delicious and well-executed—just what you'd expect from a solid, classic option. However, the real standout was the leek and mushroom cannoli, which one of our party members ordered. The homemade pasta was a nice touch, and the dish itself was inventive and flavorful, though a bit on the rich side. It was a unique choice that certainly stood out. The biggest downside, unfortunately, was the timing of both drinks and food. We were seated near the bar area, and drinks were delivered in a staggered, disjointed manner. One person ordered wine, and another an espresso martini, but there was an awkward delay as the wine sat at the pick-up station for about 8-10 minutes before the martini was placed there. The same delay happened with the food—while the pizzas were delivered promptly, the person who ordered a main course had to wait for what felt like an eternity before theirs arrived. This caused some awkwardness at the table, with two people eating while the other waited, and then waiting for the main course diner to finish before the rest of us could continue. Despite the quality of the food, the lag in service left a less-than-ideal impression. It's clear that the kitchen and front-of-house staff could improve coordination and timing. All in all, 1653 has a lot of potential, but until these issues are addressed, I'd recommend being prepared for a slightly disjointed dining experience.
