I really wanted to love the place. But meh…. Very loud. Asked to have a table for two at 6 pm on a Saturday. They only take reservations for four or more. As with most places that were busy they said tables are full have a drink at the bar and we will get you seated. After ordering the drinks, which were creative and tasty, we inquiring about a table, they said two hours. Meanwhile half the restaurant just became available. They said they had reservations for those tables. We were mislead. So we finished our drinks and went to Matteo’s (nice place btw). There were open tables in the restaurant when we left.Also other weird little thing, we left a tip as we always do. About 20%. Which some do more I realize. Someone at the restaurant changed it I am sure they misread what I wrote. But weird non the less.Their instagram feed is impressive though. Not representative of what we were actually served

Came with a party of 8, everyone agreed food was great ( try the fried artichokes ). Only complaint was the noise level. There was live music which was nice but amplified too much so we had to shout to each other and to the waitress.

If you are looking for something different give this place a try. I’ve lived here for years and always thought this was another pizzeria. It’s not. They have pizza but more of an authentic homemade style along with many other Italian specialties. Chicken vodka parm hero was amazing. Pasta was the perfect type of al dente. Will be back for sure

Very good, higher quality pizza.This is my first time with 1653, there will be many more orders, hopefully my review I’ll not change.All the things you’d want in a pizza are there: crispy thin crust, but not overdone. Sweet, salty & tangy sauce. The right amount of mozzarella obviously high quality. Toasted where I need to be, soft and gushy where it should be.So far in my experience this is the best pizza in the local area. Not cheap, but worth it and gives a weekend pizza-night a little “extra.”

We had a very nice time. The food was very good, much better than your average pizzeria. This place is much more like an Italian restaurant. The pistachio dessert is outstanding. The drinking menu offers lots of interesting selections. And, somewhat unexpectedly, the music was excellent.

Went out with wife for drinks and pizza. 2 drinks and pizza was close to $100. Pizza was a little soggy. Way over priced and not worth the money. Even for the wealthy not enough value for the money. Will not go back.

Just celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday at 1653 Pizza Company and would highly recommend!The food and drinks were absolutely incredible, and the service was unmatched. We had a private event with open bar and shared family-style plates, and every single drink (which was a lot of drinks & included anything on the menu, insane for an open bar!!) and every food item we tried was absolutely delicious.Above all - the owner was a pleasure to work with, our server was outstanding (thank you!!!), and the bartender was one of the best we’ve ever had. The atmosphere is also very elevated as well, unique & contemporary.12/10 recommend for a private event or night out!Thank you to the 1653 team for a great experience.

The food was outstanding started with the Cesar salad and split three pizzas among four adults. Had the affogato, gelato ice cream sandwich and pistachio dessert. Loved the affogato and ice cream sandwich not a huge fan on the pistachio. The one downfall...it's LOUD. Either loud piped in music or a musician (who was very good) but LOUD to the point where our waitress couldn't hear us trying to get her attention
