Besito Mexican Restaurant - Huntington NY

I am not happy to share this. I have been to both Besito's many times and always have enjoyed my meals there. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly. Server was right over and took a drink order , delivered delicious chips and salsa. Our party of 4 ordered two of the red snapper and two of the street tacos (fish) Both versions of the snapper came out with a pervasive burnt taste. Inedible. One of the two orders of fish tacos was similarly burnt tasting. The taco portions also were suffering from “ shrink-flation” were a smaller portion than we have had in the past. Our server graciously replaced the three burnt entrees, and the replacement food was ok. The damage was done. I am sad to say that we are not anxious for a repeat.

The food here is great! We had the Scandia Salad & Crab Cakes to start, then both had the Doblado Mariscado (seafood stuffed tortillas in a delicious sauce). Both were terrific though the crab cake was very spicy. Not the waiter's fault, but it took a very long time to get our drinks and my beer was warm! Again, not the waiter's fault (this has to do with how the restaurant is run) but the food runners don't know who gets what dish. Why? It's so easy to have a seat numbering rubric at a restaurant. We also had a spinach, corn & onion dish that was too spicy to eat. The black beans that come with entrees were just OK, but we had too much food to even eat them.

Food, service, atmosphere all amazing, guacamole was huge, chips delicious. I order steak enchiladas and steak was perfect. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Outdoor seating was nice, not a long wait for a table. Will be back.

Besito Huntington is a winner. The tableside guacamole is ridiculously fresh, the margaritas are top-tier, and every plate—from tacos to enchiladas—comes out vibrant and perfectly seasoned. Service is genuinely attentive without hovering, and the room has that “night-out” energy that just feels good. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality, consistency, and overall experience make it worth it. If you’re debating where to book for date night or a celebratory dinner, this is the move.

FANTASTIC! Consistently excellent food and drinks that are very well prepared and presented. Super staff that is friendly, attentive and positive. Jose, the manager, oversees a wonderful establishment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It was a lovely day so we were able to sit outside. Our waiter was terrific-very helpful suggestions and just very nice(sorry I don't remember his name but he was young and cute!). Sangria was delicious! I had the salmon dish and it was excellent! Can't go wrong at Besitos!

Amazing drinks! The food was amazing. I got the ribs. Had a little kick to it and it was very flavorful! Very yummy!

The menu recently changed and it sucks. All the favorite menu items like shrimp Jalisco and the steak have been altered. The new replacements are not good. I personally won't be going back! Been going for 10 plus years and have no desire anymore after my recent meal.

We always enjoy going to Besito. There is consistent quality in the food and service each time we have been there.

Besito is a local favorite of my husband & I & many of our friends & relatives. Their Guacamole is amazing, & so are their Margaritas. For lunch, My husband & I shared the Carne Asada & Shrimp Quesadilla's. They were delicious. We highly recommend Besito for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Food & Service always always excellent. Steaks always quality cuts and cooked to perfection . Tried guacamole at dozens of Mexican restaurants, Besitos guacamole the best by far. Margaritas , regular and frozen, always perfect and top shelf. Tres Leche and chocolate pudding desserts are delicious and beat anyone. Servers Marlon and Dhalia extremely professional, cordial, and attentive. You never have to look around for your server at Besitos, extremely well managed restaurant. Always a pleasant experience , consistently 5 stars each and every visit

Food was consistent from our last visit. Fresh, prepared tastefully and delivered hot to the table. The menu changed a bit and they were able to prepare a dish I wanted from the older menu. Always looking to please. We will be back.

This is a great restaurant with our waiter literally going above and beyond with the kitchen to ensure an allergy was avoided. O and the Sangria! 🍷🤩
