I made this reservation a month ago and wasn't informed the restaurant was permanently closed. I only found out when I tried to call to change the party size. If I had shown up Wednesday night before Thanksgiving with 6 friends to a closed restaurant I would have been even more disappointed than I was.
The place is closed, made reservations for 6 people on a Saturday night, got to the restaurant and its closed. No notification, I even got a booking confirmation text.
Made a reservation through OpenTable 2 weeks in advance of a Saturday night before a show at the Paramount. Received the text confirmation a few days prior. Show up to the restaurant and it is CLOSED for renovations. Mission Taco, please shut down reservation capability or some how notify patrons that your restaurant is closed when they try and make a reservation. Our group of 5 people had to scramble at the last minute to find a place to eat at 630pm on a Saturday night. Thank you.
Food has gone really down hill. Great atmosphere but the food doesn’t match.

We had a great experience with our server, Kevin. We explained to him that we had limited time as we were going to the show across the street, and he made sure we got out drinks and food quickly, and that we got out with plenty of time for our show. Was a great experience!
Great food and service excellent prices

I had a reservation on OpenTable for six people for Friday night at 6:45. Someone other than the people in the party I was dining with called the restaurant for an additional table and had my reservation changed without my knowledge. The restaurant offered to change it, I was not notified.
How dare they change my reservation without my knowledge through another party! Very angry!!

Service was poor. Three of our main dishes were wrong. Waitress tried taking my drink away while still half full. Waitress never asked if we wanted any desert. She just brought us the bill. The restaurant wasn’t even busy so there is no excuse. Seems like this restaurant has worsened in food and service since the last time we visited. New manager looked confused and offered to bring desert after I asked about it but by then we were already too tired and ready to leave. Seems like restaurant is under new management. Very bad experience since the last time we visited and honestly there are so many better places in Huntington that will take good care of you. Sad to see Mission Taco lose their mission.

Our plan for the day was simple: enjoy a pleasant lunch at The Shed with our dog, soaking up the ambiance of outdoor seating. However, the weather had different plans. A sudden thunderstorm warning led many restaurants to close their outdoor sections, and our hopes of finding a dog-friendly spot dwindled with each rejection. Famished and almost out of options, we made Mission Taco our final stop, hoping they would accommodate us indoors for a quick meal.
To our delight, The Mission Taco welcomed us with open arms! Despite the weather chaos, they allowed us to bring our dog inside, not only was the hospitality exceptional, but the food also exceeded our expectations. The flavors were delightful, and the interior of the restaurant added to the cozy, welcoming experience. The Mission Taco turned a potentially disappointing day into a memorable one, with great food and even better service.

I had a reservation for Friday night for six people, someone other than the six people called to try to reserve a table and the restaurant said they could change my table to a reservation for eight. They did this without my consent or my knowledge. Not a good practice for a restaurant to change your reservation without notifying the person who made the reservation !! Very angry will never go there again!!
Great margs, cool vibe. But the food was bad. Had Birria tacos and the truffle ribeye quesadilla. Two of the most expensive choices on the menu. Both had MANY big inedible chunks of grizzle that you had to spit out! and the quesadilla had a huge and I mean HUGE hunk/ Glob of fat. All was disgusting when it was in your mouth and had to be spit out. I don't like to complain (all my other reviews are positive) especially in front of my kids, but I had to say something to the manager. He had a bland response, and tried to make excuses for the meal prep. I explained as a taco or quesadilla , you don't have an option of cutting out the fat or grizzle since you can't see it, it should all be pre trimmed so you don't get gross bites. I was polite, but was very surprised at his lack of concern And lackadaisical attitude. Then to top it off, when the bill came, (btw I was not expecting anything to be taken off, that's not why I complained, and nothing was), but in fact there was an incorrect upcharge of $16! I pointed it out and they said it was a mistake. They took off the phantom charge but No apologies. I definitely got the feeling that they really didn't care about our business even though we spent over $150 for four tacos, a quesadilla and a couple of drinks. I might go back for drinks but definitely would never eat there again.

I don't know if it was just because of it being pretty quiet the night we went but the staff was basically just waiting around to take our plates it seemed. They took the plates so fast they even took my husband's fork before we were done with the side we were sharing. We had to request more silverware to finish our meal. The street corn was good but it almost seemed more like mac n cheese because of how much cheese was in it. I was trying to remove clumps of cheese as it was a bit overwhelming.
