I blacked out halfway through the entrée from pure flavor overload. I woke up applauding. The table next to me joined in. We’re a family now.

I normally love coming here it's my once a month splurge with my fiance. we get different stuff to try each time. I was a little disappointed by the mac and cheese we got today, very dry and the crumbs on top were burnt. it's alright everyone got to learn everything else we got though was delicious

A wonderful spot for breakfast or a light lunch. The cafe is located inside Roth Hall at the Culinary Institute of America. It is operated by the culinary students as part of their course. It is fully accessible and attached to a parking garage with an elevator. The cafe offers a variety of pastries as well as sandwiches, fresh fruit and other lighter fare. They also offer a full selection of specialty coffee drinks with all the alternative milks. You can take your food to go or have a seat in the dining area which looks out to a lovely courtyard garden with a fountain. You can also purchase whole cakes here that can be ordered in advance for special occasions.

Regarding the food...need to do better my pizza was all mozzarella.. hardly any fig or prosciutto. My dessert.. outside of being told it was pistachio.. I have no idea what it was supposed to be and it was just ok... My coffee was good. My friends eggplant sandwich was very good. I expect better considering the prices they charge.

Wow! Delicious foods, excellent service, no wait, no reservations. Loved it. Really loved their broccoli cheddar quiche, mini frech-press coffee. The desserts are incredible. Highly recommended place to visit on a whim.

Coffee and pastries are amazing. Apple butter is better than grandma's.

Everything is made in the student classes and then brought to the cafe for sale, so if you're looking for something specific on their menu, I'd recommend arriving early. They were almost out of hot food but we were able to snag the southwest burrito, which lived up to its name and was very good. We also got the lemon poppy scone, the lemon basil spiral, and blueberry cheesecake craquelin and oh my heaven! They were all to die for. Cannot recommend enough. I wish we were still in the area so we could go again.

The desserts were decent — nothing mind-blowing, but solid overall. What really stood out was the scenery and atmosphere — beautiful space, very relaxing.

A cafe where each pastry and coffee we got was a 10/10 for quality and flavor, plus great service with clear passion and care. It's also a cute space to sit in. Also, at reasonable prices! If you are at or near the Poughkeepsie train station, it is worth the quick trip over to Apple Pie Bakery Cafe. Also, the CIA campus grounds is beautiful!

We decided to visit the CIA during the week, which is typically open to the public. While none of the main restaurants were open, we ended up choosing to grab a quick snack. We were pleasantly surprised when they had table service & dine-in, after ordering at the counter! All of our options were delicious, I thoroughly enjoyed the Croque Monsieur, plus the shrimp & grits! Staff was extremely kind and friendly during our experience - highly recommended!
