A visit to any CIA restaurant is always a memorable experience. The food is superior and a chance to try different things. The service is outstanding as the student are so eager to show their knowledge. They anticipate your needs from when they take your coat on arrival until they help you on with your coat at the end. Table service is above and beyond anything I have experienced anywhere else.
This was our 6th visit to CIA. It was one of the very best meals we have had. Of course, the students are in training and have varying levels of experience in the art of service but the senior staff were on-the-job lending support and instruction. The food: steak tartar w/ caviar on top it was fantastic my date had salmon loved it. Followed with duck, he had bouillabaisse both were perfect. Desert, well we had to try the creme brulee' perfect finish to a remarkable meal....
The winter menu at only $30 for three courses, which will run until April, is an exceptional value. No cutback in quantity or quality. I had the seafood souffle, pork medallions, and creme brulee, each of which was very, very good, equal to what I've had on other occasions outside this special value period.
