Voss's @ the Illon Marina is an Upstate NY classic summer time eatery. It is an outdoor-only restaurant with either takeout or outdoor dining, open only in the summer into early fall when the weather is nice. The location has a pavilion to eat under and a small enclosed area, but it can get extremely hot in the room with no air conditioning. The restaurant offers classic burgers and hotdogs with buttered and toasted buns, served as smaller "smashburger" style patties at very low and affordable prices. Their crinkle fries are described as absolutely amazing and extremely crispy. While the ice cream is not a favorite, the restaurant provides soda and allows guests to bring their own water. Visitors praise the pleasant staff, well-kept area, and scenic setting by the water, making it a nice place to grab a quick bite.
