Shi Miao Dao holds a special place for me—it was my very first restaurant visit after moving to Ithaca. My husband took me to Collegetown on a weekend, and we walked in without any plan at all, which made it feel even more special. We tried the Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodles, and as a spice lover, I absolutely loved it—rich, comforting, and perfectly bold. It seems this isn’t an authentic Shimiaodao restaurant. The soup appears pre-prepared, ingredients are of poor quality, and the dining area isn’t well maintained. Prices are high, though the owner is quite friendly.
