The Rook Reviews
The Rook is always a must-visit whenever we’re in town! The menu is full of flavorful dishes, and their cocktails and beverages are equally impressive. The atmosphere is inviting and lively, making it a perfect spot for any occasion. The staff goes above and beyond - Manny in particular is friendly, attentive, and a joy to chat with. We can’t recommend The Rook enough for great food, drinks, and an unforgettable experience😍🙌
This place is a gem! very welcoming, cozy, intimate vibes. The service is great! and the Food, wow! best fried chicken and fries I've ever had. I highly recommend catch a cannonball, very tasty. The tiramasu was perfect! truly a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

The Rook is a restaurant that offers a focused menu with well-executed dishes. Customers have praised the food, particularly the grilled salmon, which is described as "perfection, crispy on the outside yet so tender on the inside," and the pork schnitzel, which is "beautifully crunchy, fork-tender pork, with herbed spaetzle and a bit of lightly dressed frisee/radicchio to cut the richness." The menu also features grilled dates, cheeseburgers with generous fries, and a buttermilk salad. The bacon-wrapped dates are so delicious, some could have an entire meal of them. The pasta, possibly called foccini, is really good and enjoyed to a high level. The menu rotates, providing a pleasant surprise to regular guests’ palates every time. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with eclectic decor that adds to the charm.
The service is described as "low-key but polished," with attentive and friendly staff. Guests often find the staff, like David, to be kind and patient, especially when helping to choose wines or sherry. The restaurant is on a less busy street, making outdoor dining enjoyable without road noise, although inside can get loud on busy nights. The new space enhances the experience, offering great food, drinks, and staff that keep customers coming back. Free bathrooms are an added convenience. Overall, The Rook provides a satisfying dining experience, with a menu that caters to various tastes and service that is attentive and polished.
