La Abundancia in NY offers excellent service. The person who attended me was very attentive and even let me try the beans, which I thought was a great detail, since it’s not common for someone to go the extra mile for a customer. The beans were very good, as well as the chicharrón and the chorizo, and the rib soup had a delicious flavor.
The place does not stand out for its decoration, as it has a style frozen in time, but the quality of the food is good.

The staff members that work here are absolutely disgracefully rude. Literally every time I come in here speaking fluent Spanish they get upset because they can tell I’m not of South American descent and that’s sad and prejudice. Se llama ‘la abundancia” porque you get an abundance of RUDE SERVICE FROM THESE LADIES unfortunately. Don’t waste your time, customer service is terrible and the food is hit and miss. They’ve even served me LIVER before when I specifically asked for bistec encebollado 3 times, like what???? It almost seems intentional , you’re better off not wasting your time here

Absolutely terrible experience at La Abundancia! 😐 The food was subpar, and the service was even worse. The server seemed completely uninterested in attending to us, and the dishes we ordered were bland and overpriced. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. 👎 1/5 stars. Maybe they should change their name to La Desgracia (Bad Luck) instead of La Abundancia! 😒

One of the worst place ever, i gave this place 2 chances, the 2 different dishes. And they always forget the freaking forks and spoons. The service is bad I feel the rush, just to have bad food, everything's always too salty And overcooked.. They have homeless sleeping inside the store. It's not clean i understand it's 24hrs but food from the afternoon shouldn't still be sitting there....

Normally I don't leave reviews of businesses, today I went to this place and here I go: We ALL know that groceries are expensive right now but the prices in this place are exaggerated and the food was not even good, I ordered a warmed one with beans and that cost me $12 🙁😱 plus a lunch and two small coffees, almost $40 seems exaggerated to me, about the service: the girls were not rude, but they were very slow, I can tell you from a professional point of view because I have been a restaurant manager for 5 years and the way they work is very Slow especially for rush hours like breakfast and dinner, people are in a hurry because they are going to work or heading home after a long day of work, so the owner or owners should better motivate their employees to hurry a little more. Thank you

After coming here for 12 years for their soup I will never again return. I drove from Bayside to woodside for this ? I spent $32 on two soups. And she charged me $1+ tax to take it home 🤯 I can’t believe they charged me extra for takeout and had the audacity to tell me everyone else does that. The girls working in there are trash. Sweeping the floor while I was eating my soup which is why I stood up and asked to get something to take it with. That’s disgusting! Women who lack confidence and feel the need to make someone’s life difficult and be so unprofessional bc they seem like what more American. I am not someone to be taken advantage of and find it so petty for her to think that just bc I know how to dress myself that what? I should taxed. How hospitable. I work hard for what I have and would never act like that with any of my clients. I would never want to be you Claudia. Que pena ver este lugar después de tantos años actuar como un lugar baja clase. Really terrible service today I went to buy my lunch and I set aside two empanadas because the lady sold me three separately she told me that the tip is voluntary ok I understand that it is voluntary but I only had just the food so let me tell you the lady got upset and He didn't want to bring food to the table when they always bring it and I tell him that I'm going to eat here, they always put cutlery because this time the lady didn't put it on me, so what I'm saying is that if you have to tip, you have to give it. However the service is good, one of the nice ladies Andrea made sure everything was okay. all the servers seem to be on point.
