It's a great taste of Indian sweets. We purchased Jaleebies and Lad's, which are full of taste.

I wish I wasn't so full from all the amazing food I ate at Raja Sweets and then I could have tried more of the stuff here. I had Kulfi Faluda and it was good.

The place is a bit cramped, the alleys stay crowded with take away queue that it becomes hard to enter.
we tried thali, very tasty and particularly recommended if you want non-spicy food. the staff is very well behaved and would help you to choose and dine, and they are fast.
the sweets are out of thr world, with a very huge line of options to select from.

Should get Zero star . I have been going this place last Ten years! Used to be so so busy because of their sweet taste! There were always 20/25 people on the line in that small store ! No matter what day … always people lined up for delicious sweets ! But no more that picture ! Unfortunately they are losing business because of their service, high price and food quality!
First of all service is very very poor . Ladies there all are busy in their own gossip ! Don’t bitter about customers lined up ! They are gossiping. Then super slow . Each of them takes long time to get one box sweet .
Second the food quality. Now a days it’s are old sweets they are selling . Days after days sweets are laying there and some tastes are sour totally rotten ! They are selling those rotten sweets . You can see even color changes of sweets !
Number three : high price . They wanted to compare with current economy and market rates , so that they increase the price and for that they are losing customers . Should not do that . Dear owner please check your food quality and price and over all your employees service.

The lady with the black-framed glasses was extremely rude and behaved as if she was giving the sweets away for free. We purchased Kaju Katli, but she gave us pieces without the silver topping. When we politely requested 1-2 pieces with the silver topping for my daughter (as she prefers them), she rudely refused, claiming they were “just for display” and not for sale. I fail to understand the logic behind this. Her behavior was unprofessional and very disrespectful. Dear owner, if you continue to employ such arrogant staff, you risk losing loyal customers. Sweets was good.

The vegetarian thali is my favorite here, and the sweets are absolutely delightful.

I recently visited Maharaja Sweets in Jackson Heights and was initially intrigued by its bright and colorful display of sweets. However, my experience was far from pleasant. Before even stepping inside, I noticed they had a B health grade, which raised some concerns but didn’t stop me from giving them a chance. Unfortunately, I regret that decision.
I purchased 1 pound of sweets, and while they looked visually appealing, the experience went downhill from there. When I opened the box in my car, I immediately noticed a strange, unpleasant smell. Upon tasting, the sweets had a kerosene-like flavor that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It was not just disappointing but also unsettling.
While the store may look clean and inviting on the surface, the taste and quality of the sweets leave much to be desired. Food should not only look good but also taste fresh and safe to consume. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Maharaja Sweets. If you value both quality and taste in your desserts, this is not the place to go.

Maharaja Sweets is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Indian sweets. Although the shop is small and humble in size, the quality of their sweets is top-notch. Each bite feels fresh and packed with traditional flavors that transport you straight to India.
Whether you're looking for classics like gulab jamun, kaju katli, or laddoos, they nail the balance of sweetness and texture every time. The staff is friendly and always willing to help you choose the perfect treat.
If you're a fan of Indian sweets or just want to try something new, Maharaja Sweets is worth a visit!
