I must say, this place truly impresses me with its organization and warm atmosphere. The owner, in particular, has a fantastic personality that makes everyone feel welcome. The food is delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Me & my boyfriend came right before closing and the owner was so sweet we had the ogbono soup with fufu and jollof rice it was so HOT FRESH FLAVORFUL & AMAZING! It was my first time having African food and it did not disappoint. The service was great we chatted with her the entire time. We will be back . I see why they have been open for 19 years!

The only applause I'll give this place is the food potion. It's really filling. With that said, it's hard not to be disappointed with most african restaurants. Very disorganized, lacked coordination, and they only take Zelle or cash. The taste of food was ok. It's definitely not worth driving back for another round.

This is an authentic African restaurant, so I would go with someone who knows your taste. My Nigerian friend took us there, and he recommended the dishes. I love the rice and goat (different from my Jamaican flavor). My friend, she had rice and chicken. They were delicious. Something different. Go taste ?. PS. The place is not large but quient and cozy. Staff and owner are very friendly.

Highly recommended. From the walk in to the exit, you can just feel the same feeling of walking into your momma’s home. Loved my experience in the restaurant, the service is always on point, and the food, I can say many good things but would rather everyone to come and try! You won’t regret it
Thank you Aso Rock

I'm trying this african food for the first time bc my friend was hungry
and halfway through... WOW, smashed yam was good.
I finally bit into the goat meat, and it was NoT tender but tough. Nevertheless
I wanted to be authentic in my review, so I kept going until I started to chew some kind of metal in my mouth. Oh Nonono. ?
So I spit it out with the bone. WT Looks like aluminum or some type of silver. The chef has to be way more careful, or someone could get hurt or be sued.
Be aware, stay alert ⚠️ eat with caution. Good luck.

I came to order food here to go. No one greets you when you walk in. I placed the order they told me 15 minutes. They barely had food from what was on the menu. I waited for the food. I went to pay for my food they dont take card. I went to an atm and returned to the store. The woman at the register told me there is no more all of the food is gone. She had so many orders of food on the counter. But somehow i couldnt get any food after waiting 30mins for food.

The owner was on her cell when I came and didn't even greet me. Adter a anothet minute she says to me this is an African what do you want here. (While still on the phone.) Yeah, the owner was rude and talks at you. Maybe it's cool in Nigeria, but not in Queens, NY. She didn't want to explain the menu. I ordered jollof rice, because that was the mission I was sent on, paid and left.
Maybe, I will try again. It will depend on how she responds if she response to this review.

Love the food at Aso Rock! I normally get the Jollof and fish and it never disappoints. I tried the fufu and veggies today and loved it! The customers sitting next to me raved about the boneless goat head with white rice which I will try next time. The owner appreciated that I knew much about the culture and food since I am not African. The other customers also appreciated my knowledge of the culture and treated me to a free plum wine which I also enjoyed. I normally have a good experience here and will definitely return!!!!
