“Tried it today after contemplating for a while. The server answered any questions I had and has a very friendly and approachable demeanor.Coming from the Island background of Jamaica I tried the Curry chicken wrap. It was so good, it didn't need no sauce. The server recommended the Butter chicken, and I came back 2 hours later to try it and he remembered my order. The food is freshly made to order. Very impressed! This will be my new lunch/breakfast spot.“

Rasta Pasta with Shrimp 9/10
The pasta is creamy and a little bit more than al dente which I like. There was a lot of shrimp and it was seasoned perfectly and cooked just enough so that it stayed moist and tender!

Rasta Pasta with Salmon 9/10
This is an excellent deal for salmon and pasta! The salmon is soft, fresh, with sweet sauce to complement the savory flavor. It's a perfect mix of healthy and heavy food.

Curry Goat 9/10
Perfectly spiced, savory with medium curry strength and the meat was super soft and falling off the bone.

Soup of the day 8/10
This is an excellent chicken soup. The broth is thick and savory. The chicken is falling off the bone. Chunks of potato and carrot to top it off. Lots of flavor!

Jerk Chicken Sandwich 8/10
It's spicy and reasonably priced and it comes with some slaw. I think it could be dressed up a bit but it's good.

Kale Salad 8/10
It's a healthy and delicious mix of greens and veggies like cucumber, tomato, mango, corn.

Braised Slow Cooked Oxtail (Large) 7/10
I'll have to try this again because when I got it, the oxtail wasn't falling off the bone like I expected. I think it needed more time in the slowcooker. It also needed some more spice.

Yard Style Jerk Chicken (Large) w/ rice and peas 7/10
The chicken is juicy with mild spice and the container was packed but I think the rice and peas was dry. The coconut white rice is better. Plantains were great.“

“Tastes great, fast delivery, and no prep. I used to spend at least 8 hours per week prepping between going to the grocery store, trimming the little fat of the edges on chicken breast & cutting the breast into small pieces so it cooked faster without burning on the surface while staying undercooked inside, then veggies, rice, potatoes, etc. Now I just order 20lbs - 25lbs of chicken all different flavors and chicken meatballs, frozen veggies in microwavable bags, & cook 2 cups of rice EOD. There is no prep other than putting rice in rice cooker then jumping in the shower before heading to work. I used to think meal prep services were a rip off. The prices were high compared to prepping and it was edible. When you’re used to eating for result and not taste you’ll anything and like it. The Chicken Pound is different. With the cost of groceries especially chicken & other meats so high The Chicken Pound prices are not that far off and worth it after you factor in the time saved driving to the grocery store, shopping, prepping everything, etc. I’d rather work 8 hours of OT and make enough $$ sitting on my arse making sales to buy 6 months of Chicken Pound. The new sauces are a game changer. I love putting sauces on my food but there aren’t many low fat, low calories options. Life is so much easier now. I buy rice, frozen veggies, rice cakes, and guacamole packs in bulk to reduce my trips to the grocery store.“

“This place really knows how to do Halal chicken right. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned all the way through—not just on the surface. You can tell it’s made fresh, not rushed. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the staff was friendly and quick. Easily one of the best fried chicken spots I’ve been to. Definitely coming back.“

“My friend called me, insisting he was at this location. He said he was at both the Pizza Hut, and the Taco Bell. I told him I was also at the combination of the two, and couldn't see him. Incredulously, we went back and forth for 3 minutes, even making sure we were both on Jamaica Avenue. So if you're meeting a friend here, just know there may be two such places on the street.“

“This was probably the best “Chicken Curry” I’ve ever had. The dish was accompanied by a side of cabbage that, at first, seemed boring. But I was trying to do it authentic all the way. The cabbage was delicate but still had enough bite to it which means they did not overcook it. I am super glad the I did. The dish was soooo delicious. You also get a side of sweet plantains which just end the meal superbly. They are cooking for real here. Looking forward to going back very soon.“

I wasn't even going to order because I saw the low rating but I saw the menu and decided to order however I want. Well let me tell you that the food was very delicious! and authentic too. I ordered a beef chimi and a pork chimi, both were delicious. The yucca ball and the quipe were also delicious.

My people, please don't get carried away by the ratings and approve the restaurants for yourself.“

“I come here twice a week to get my my son chicken nuggets and nacho fries after work. The staff is very clean. If they touch cash they put on new gloves before they prepare your food which I appreciate. I have been here quite a few times and they never messed up my order.“

“This is the only McDonald's that doesn't give me stomach troubles. I think the other ones don't change and filter their oil regularly or don't have high turnover so they give you old food. The food I get from here always tastes fresh due to the high turnover. Basically lots of people coming and going so new food coming out fresh all the time. But just know that the cops/EMS get called here regularly because there's always some fever dream shit happening lol. It attracts lots of deranged people due to being a McDonald's. People asking you for money, fights in the parking lot, mentally ill people, etc.

Some of the kiosk machines don't even work because once you get to the payment machine you see it's not even turned on. So you have to go to another one. Half of them were out of order or their payment thing wasn't working. Also, the machines never give out receipts. I had a problem with my order but the managers and employees were nice and apologetic. It's a good place to go. They also have a play place. I wish they had more seating options.“

“People who work here are really very honest people hard-working people. They are very good in the customer and this restaurant is located on the Libert Avenue and very close to Merrick and a lot of bus stop here and you have very too much options. It is very clean and very good restaurant but the people who were here. They need to learn a little more respectful towards customers. They need to respect the customers and help the customers they will attract more people. That is what I wanted to say.“
