“The SMB absolutely blew me away. I thought it was a perfect balance of salty, sweet, light kick of spice. The beef was season so perfectly and was soft and tender. The egg was super fluffy and I really enjoyed the kimchi to add another flavor profile. The bagel itself was also delicious - light crunch on the outside but soft and chewy inside. Perfect texture and honestly it was such great value for a huge bagel. The owner gave out free rice balls because the wait was getting long and those were delicious too.“

As someone born and raised in New York, I’m always on the hunt for a solid bagel spot and Curley’s Bagels caught my attention. It’s a grab and go place, but the inside is surprisingly beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Definitely more elevated than your average bagel shop.

When I walked in, I was impressed by the variety. They had tons of specialty bagels, options with avocado and eggs, and even gluten-free bagels, which is a great choice for anyone with dietary needs. I was tempted to try something creative, but I decided to stick with a classic: a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese “my personal favorite”. Lol

The woman at the counter was super kind and helpful, and the overall vibe from the staff was warm and welcoming. Even though it was busy, my bagel was made quickly. I also grabbed a coffee, which had a nice bold, dark roast flavor. They offered oat milk, almond milk, and half and half something for everyone.

Biting into the bagel, it was everything I wanted: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with generously spread scallion cream cheese full of flavor and fresh herbs. Honestly, it felt more like a luxury bagel experience than your typical deli stop.

I spent about $9 for a bagel and coffee, which is a bit on the higher side, but the quality made it worth it. Plus, it was within walking distance from my doctor’s office, so it felt like a great find in the neighborhood.

“Neighborhood staple, in the City, too. Pastrami, Egg and Cheese on an Everything Egg Bagel, BEC (Bacon, Egg and Cheese), and TEC (Turkey, Egg and Cheese) on Wheat. All housemade Bagels so they're fresh and ready to go. They do other breakfast items, if needed: Pancakes, Homefries, etc.

“Broadway Bagel is good for a lot of things but it's better to tell you what its not good for because it's smaller. their pastrami, very chewy & fatty. I got a wrap & was horrible because I was fighting with the pastrami to bite off a piece & then getting fat in your mouth is disgusting. At times when I get a breakfast sandwich with bacon it's like that's when they choose to hide fatty bacon instead of giving you well cooked bacon. How does an establishment do that to their customers? The tuna wrap w/ French fries, I usually order but now they're adding lettuce when before it was onions & avocado now they're putting celery & adding lettuce. why did they mess with such a great sandwich? Certain staff I work with like their blueberry pancakes, homefries, BLT. But like I said too many times I bought a BLT & it was filled with a lot of fatty bacon. I look at my food before I eat it. They used to have different flavors of OJ, Mango/Pineapple, Strawberry/Banana/Orange, but now all they have is regular OJ. They're changing how they made stuff and they changed the working crew so all I can say is I mostly get breakfast. It's hit & Miss for a lot of things because I like my food the way anyone having a business should make the food for their customers; with love & as best as possible.“

“Two days ago I stopped in for a big breakfast. Everything is cooker and prepared right infront of you, everything is clean and the staff there is ontop of getting to you right away.

The wait is normal considering this is a made to order spot and cooked with care.

We got a couple of sandwiches a side of homefries and pancakes that was straight out of this world.

You wonder how some places the breakfast has no taste, almost like it’s just generic bacon egg and cheese on a plain roll and you’re gone in under a minute.

This is not that!

The food here is delicious, the bread is on point, the grill and store is clean, they care about making the food perfect and it really shows. Hats off to them 10/10

Oh and a side note that sealed the deal is the Iced coffee comes with coffee ice cubes!“

“I’ve been coming here since they first opened back in 2018. Fast forward to now, they are our only bagel shop and the only place I would trust with my coffee. They are a family owned business and treat you like family. The bagels and spreads are perfect, they have a large variety of flavors, all of which are super tasty. “I didn't know, is there a legit 'bagel club?' Found this spot via google maps and thought to give it a try while waiting for my nearby coffee shop to open. Today, before 8am the place was quiet. Only one other customer, who was engaged in a conversation with the guy behind the counter. The shop is spacious and the fact that it wasnt busy and the food items for sale were very spread out, made the place seem very big, too big for the amount of business seen and lack of table seating. It was clean though. Customer service was ok. Straight forward.
I went with the sunflower seed (flat) bagel. Not a usual bagel flavor of other bagel shops. It is actually very good. A lot of seeds. If you like sunflower seeds, go for it. I guess it is flat to accomodate all the seeds.
I also grabbed two pumperknickel and one everything toasted with cream cheese.
The everything wasnt toasted enough for my liking. There was a decent amount of creme cheese.
Overall the vibe was off, very quiet for a weekday morning. Maybe they are more of a mid-day lunch spot. They had everything a bagel shop typically has e.g. cream cheese flavors. But not heaping amounts of each compared to City locations which anticipate much more business. While it is a decent place, i wont pick this club over others if I had to choose.“

“One of my biggest things I do is when I go out of town is I always look for something local. And right next-door where I was going to be was my favorite bagel. I figured I’ll go get a bagel and a drink. Well I walked in there, and there was all different types of pizza there there was a salad bar on the other side and then there was a bakery got a piece of pizza. “I don’t live anywhere near here but whenever I am around and I gave time to stop, I stop and have a bit here at SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop.

What I like most about it, is the food. I feel like my mom, dad or one of my Aunties made it and I feel like I’m with them chillin’ and eating. It brings back memories.

Besides that, the owner is kind and friendly and so are the workers. This place if clean and smells clean. It’s a spot where there’s no real fanfare but I like that because, once inside, you have some chairs, a few tables and a two stool window seat option. However, there is a long radiator there so, if you sit to the side, things will work out for you eating over there.

They have a nice assortment of cold beverages and food options. Again, the place is clean and I feel confident eating here.
