$10 per person to get in and then employees demanding to search your vehicle prior to leaving. I flat-out refused and they told me I am not welcome back... don't worry about that Samascott!

The staff at the farm was unbelievably rude and their communication was so unprofessional and unclear. It's really disappointing when you encounter such poor service. I hope they can improve their attitude and communication skills. God bless ay ay ay. Enough complaining, a truly family oriented, with friendly staff, and kid friendly environment that I would recommend would be Indian Ladder farms.

We paid $10/person for the Cider Event today, and still don't know what we were paying for. In the event venue, there were just 2 or 3 food trucks, a Nine Pin booth, a live band, and their own food booth, other than this there is nothing special. Speak to the apple farm, many of the apples on trees were over matured or rotten, and some of the trees even did not have any apple left. Really had a difficult time to pick some good-quality apples. My suggestion to the farm owner is that if you have no good apples to offer to the visitors, then you should not charge the entry fee sine the Cider Event was not fun at all. When we were leaving from the farm and ready to pay, the staff asked us open all the car doors and truck. Did not feel they are rude, but did feel uncomfortable when they asked to do so.Really felt upset, this place used to be a good place several years ago, and we had a great time. I paid $10 for entering this apple farm, but I did not buy any apple, I bought some sadness instead.

Went today to bring the family. Expected it to cost $40 to get in (8x$5). Today was Ciderfest no option but to pay $10 per person. So we paid an extra $5 per person and expected to get at least a cider tasting and all it included was the opportunity to spend more money for the vendors they brought in. Definitely disappointed in a place that is usually great.

I had to give them 1 star in order to write a review, if it were up to me there would be none. Went there for a nine pin event with apple picking, paid $10 a person to get in. We were given no instructions when we got there including the directions so we were driving around the orchard lost. Then at the end we had some apples in our reusable bags, they asked if we had any pumpkins in our car we said no, they checked our trunk and then accused of stealing apples. We were trying to explain to him how there was a mix up (due to the poor communication/directions on their end) and instead of being a reasonable human being he argued and cursed at us with my two year old present. So we him told them we don’t want the apples and he said we had to pay or he’s calling 911 and then he charged us $80 for less than 2lbs of apples. He also failed to mention how much it was going to be before charging the card. We proceeded to call management and they were rude as well “whatever he charged you is right” is all they had to say. I will NEVER be returning there, the options for apples weren’t good to begin with and the workers are rude as hell.Recommendations for other apple farms that I’ve personally been to:Indian ladderBoehm’s farmStantons feura farm

I work for a company that is designed to get people with intellectual and developmental disabilities out into the community to experience fun and exciting things. We brought a few groups out to the orchard for apple picking last week. A lot of our participants work with money management goals and are here to learn. Not only were they not allowed to put some apples back if they had too many, they were also told they would not be able to leave. The participants did not feel welcomed in anyway and the staff at orchard were quite rude to them. We will definitely be finding a different orchard next year with more kind and understanding staff.

Loved this place. The different varieties of fruits you can get and also it’s a very wide space.

Great place to pick your own and great variety. Adrian Nimat your have to read the posts to see how many people steal from the Orchard. $5 is peanuts compared to other places and does not come close to cover the loss. It's a sad truth, but it happens in many many Farms that have Pick Your Own.

Don't go there unless you want to overpay for produce ($5/person just to get in) and get humiliated at the end when they search your car like they're looking for drugs with total disregard for vehicle occupants. The searching employees are extremely rude.Samascott owner, if you are listening, 99% of the people that visit your farm are honest. The amount of business you lose every season by humiliating your honest customers will far exceed your loss from theft. People that leave your farm with a bitter taste in their mouths will never return, even if you make the right changes. Other farms in the area will take this opportunity to earn their repeat business. It's as simple as that. My family and I will never visit your farm again.

The people there are so nice & the produce are good. This review is for the no sugar apple muffin ONLY. It was the worse muffin I have ever had in my life. It was so dry. I know it's sugar free but there are other things that can be put in it to give it some sweetness. The ingredients say applesauce it's not enough. I won't be buying that again. But will buy other things from the market.

You pick fruits and vegetables, variety of plants and gardening products. Fresh and local produce and dairy, meats. Cool icecream flavors.

It's the best! My family has been picking here for years, and it's always excellent at Samascott. The fruit and vegetables are top rate.

Free admission with military ID. Bring containers for "pick your own" fruits and vegetables. If you don't have any of your own containers they sell some for around a dollar, relatively inexpensive. We paid for a container but didn't have to pay admission fees because we both had military IDs. We received our change but the staff member forgot to actually give me the containers I paid for. It was sorted out quickly when I returned to the window. The fields were hot and pretty busy. We saw a lot of out of state license plates so it seemed kind of touristy. Two weeks into strawberry season the field seemed pretty picked over but we found enough to satisfy our needs. The strawberries were small but very sweet and had a distinctive strawberry flavor unlike the large varieties from California and Mexico in the grocery store. The black raspberry bushes and blueberries were plentiful and tasted excellent. The prices were good. We got a small amount of Broccoli, 5 Kirby Pickling Cucumbers, and a tray of Blueberries, Strawberries, and Black Raspberries for around $20. There is a small shop at the check out area. The shop has drinks, icecream, Samascott cider, local honey, and NY Maple Syrup.Your car will be searched and there is a wall of license plate numbers of people caught stealing and hiding undeclared fruit/vegetables in the car. Be warned, stealing is bad!! It was a fun experience and I would definitely go back. Next time I will bring water and sunscreen!!!

I came here to pick strawberries with the family. The berries were small and there weren't a lot of them, which meant either a bad harvest (seems that this is the case every year) or we got here after everybody else. They have a no refund policy, so if you pay your admission and get to the fields and discover the pickings are slim you are out of luck. The strawberry fields were spread out in three different areas. They had other things to pick too, like squash, peas and rubarb.Checkout went quickly, though when they say they are searching your car they mean it! I saw them lift rugs and check spare tire wells in the vehicle in front of me. Someday, I should have a friend dress up as a dead body and hide in the trunk just to see what happens. They advertised free ice cream for Dads on Father's Day. I love free ice cream, but when I asked about it I was told it was at their other location. Boo!
