I do not like how hipster it seems to have become. They now ONLY sell ice cream and ice cream cakes. No more are the days of buying Boice Bros milk or Sour Cream, Butter. etc are long gone. This makes me sad, but the ice cream is still very good, reasonably priced and served by mostly very friendly and nice people but again it's now ONLY an ice cream stand. 5 stars for ice cream but they lost 2 stars for abandoning the other sectors of business they had covered for 50+ years. I used to stop here on the way up to the mountains each year and not having to go to to a grocer....SAD REACTS ONLY.

Boices used to be the go to however now with the new bouge appearance it's got a vibe that seems to cater to the out of Towner's and not the working class neighborhood it's been in for over 112 years. The lack of dairy products at Boice Bros is mind boggling. When the chocolate milk was no longer available for milk shakes I was surprised but the day there was no milk for milkshakes at all? Come on do better! This is a generational business that is running from its roots to appease the crowd that found their way up the highway.

Such old-fashioned, soft ice cream with great prices! And, if you really want a bargain, purchase a 6 pack of ice cream sandwiches, prepackaged, and available within the actual dairy store!!!!!! It doesn't get much better than those! Yummy!!
