Exceeded our expectations. My dining companion had heard of it and we were all in. We shared the wedge salad which was served with croutons and red onion slices on the side. They had the seafood pasta and I had the NY strip and scallops, garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. We shared chocolate cheese cake. Wow... however, the background music seemed to be the Adele channel so after the third song by her we needed a break! 🎶 Also some of the art on the walls were just canvases with black paint which felt oddly out of place.

First time there, reserved a table for Valentines Day. Everything was amazing (food, service, owner was friendly) however, I must be truthful, they had mice that were running around the dining area. For this reason, we will not be going back.

The place has charm. Our waiter Tom was very nice and polite. The food was good and cooked to our liking. I thought the menu was a touch limited and nothing remarkable about the cooking for the price. We were held up because of traffic and I called ahead to let them know but they were super cool about it and we had a nice valentines day celebration. Overall a great experience. Be aware though they pass in the credit card charge via the check 3% I'm not a fan of places that charge the high end prices and then hit you again at the end. If you go bring cash or pay the vig.

Upotown Kingston offers many excellent restaurants including Le Canard and the Brickman that offer many of the same qualities that one finds in NYC, but at significantly lower prices. A hidden gem, however, is Chops restaurant on the corner of John St and Clinton Ave. Meals, especially the fish are truly wonderful but my my most recent favorite is the Rack of Lamb. The two chefs cooked it to perfection. Succulent, with a subtle sauce that only enhanced the flavor of the lamb, it was truly one of the finest meals I have enjoyed in my life. I cannot wait to have it again. Congrats to owner Denny and his staff for making each of my visits thoroughly enjoyable. See you on New Years Eve.

I ordered full rack of lamb and a classic burger. But towards the end of my meal I saw a mouse around my seat. When I mentioned that to the staff, they said that its okay and its a small one, making me assume that they know about it and aren't doing anything about it. Regardless of the delicious food, my evening is ruined.

Never disappointed, great food and wonderful staff. I was just there with my husband and our good friends to celebrate their Anniversary. Food, drinks and service was perfect! The owner came over after dinner and gave us all dessert and wish our friends Happy Anniversary...so if you looking for good food I highly recommend chops grille and enjoy the the Wisconsin French onion soup...so so good!!!
Frito Misto special was great, paired with the Village Greek Salad, the perfect meal. Love the hummus and grilled pita compliments of the house. The owner makes the rice pudding Greek style-so good. Our server Michelle was very pleasant, welcoming and efficient. Had been before for Thursday Burger Nite and same experience. Will go again for sure.

I got the New York Strip and lobster and I couldn't be happier. My steak was a perfect medium rare with a hard sear on the outside just as it should be. The lobster tail was so flavorful and delicious I wish I had two. That was a very generous 6oz for sure. Drink were good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Just what I needed after a long day of traveling. Thank you Chops.

Greeted by the owner when walked in and sat at the bar for a cocktail. Bartender Steve was friendly and made a great Manhattan with a heavy pour. Our waitress Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. The calamari appetizer had a light batter with great flavor and the halibut bites were so tasty. Main courses were strip steak, bone in pork chop with apples, chicken Lombardo and cod. All 4 of us raved over the flavors of our meals. Broccoli was amazing as well as their French fries. To top the evening off, the owner Denny stopped by our table and was so friendly and gave us a history of the restaurant. Highly recommend for a date night or any occasion.
