The lady who sat us was rude red hair older then the rest She had pushed pass us we thought she was a customer we waited to be seated and it was her. No smile seemed annoyed so we left... I use to really like this place...

It's a good thing duo is a two hour drive.. rutabaga and sweet potato soup. I ordered it with 4 spoons. Lightly curried, we all enjoyed it. Steve always order a croissant, to share, (kind of) to start. Lin says it's the best croissant she's had outside of Europe. I called 48 hrs ahead and ordered some plain and chocolate for each couple to take home. The menu is so varied. Kate waffled between the fried chicken sandwich w/Brussels sprout slaw on a homemade bun vs fish and chips with a wild tarter sauce as she put it. I was on the scallop po boy from the moment I saw it. Kate and I always trade plates. The fried chicken was every bit as good as the scallop po boy-only she got garlic Parmesan fries. Steve got the turkey confit hash. Truly amazing. Lin a vegetarian-chose a salad with apple and seton which was either fried or sautéed in corn oil. Best Lin had ever had. Kate and I had only tried it once before but thought it was delicious. Great service without being overbearing and the bar always has refreshing beverages of all kinds. Sorry we took no pics. We travel 2 hours south, they travel to hours north, it's more about the company and atmosphere. We have been enjoying meals a few times a year, here for 7 years. Trust me there are many places to go, but if you don't try duo you are missing out.

Went there for brunch on a weekend. While the service was friendly, we had to ask 3 times before we got coffee refills. My bread pudding French toast was incredibly disappointing; the best part about it was the berry compote.

Hands down one of the top brunch places in all of Hudson Valley. Phenomenal friendly staff, delicious food made with local ingredients.

Sunday is my day for this spot. The specials change so there is good variety.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, great service. My favorite place for breakfast and lunch in Kingston.

Slow service, needed to repeatedly ask for coffee refills, almost inedible food, and surprise surcharges for credit card purchase.

Great place for breakfast. We had bloody marys and apple cider mimosas with brunch on Sunday. The food was delicious and creative!! The gluten free bread was really special and we bought a loaf to take home!

Duo Bistro was not on our radar until a server at another restaurant in Saugerties recommended we visit for Sunday brunch. What a cute little spot! We arrived right around noon and found the restaurant mostly full. We had two options: put our names on a wait list, then go take a quick walk around town while we waited, or sit at the high-top 'bar' style seating against the side window towards the front of the restaurant. We were hungry, and it was chilly out, so we opted for the latter. Bonus was that we could people watch those walking around outside while we ate.... For our meals we ordered: -- the Korean Bistro Burger, with kimchi and pork pate and a side of seasoned /spicy fries - this plate makes your eyes pop out in wonder at how big the burger is, questioning how you will eat it without making an absolute mess, while simultaneously stimulating you to salivate at all the colors and juiciness oozing onto the plate. My husband did a pretty good job of eating it as a burger (as opposed to deconstructing it) and said it was decadent. He left a few fries on the plate - only because it was a lot of food, and that is a pretty telling move that he was totally sated! -- the Flannel Hash, with beets, fingerlings, kale and poached eggs. I also added a side of roasted mushrooms for an extra $2. While the veggies were all cooked perfectly, and the hash by itself was really tasty, the only disappointment of the meal was that the eggs, which looked perfectly poached, were actually hard cooked. Since the restaurant was really busy, I didn't want to send it back for two new eggs, so I ate it that way, but I had really been looking forward to mixing the runny yolk into the hash....anyway, that will have to be next time! Our server was great, we loved the look of the decor, and it wasn't too noisy considering how busy they were; value for what you get is great too, and there is plenty of street parking right in front of the restaurant. We loved walking around Kingston after eating too, and will look forward to checking this place out again during a future visit!

Great for a Sunday brunch and didn’t have to wait long to get in. The food was amazing, especially the bread they have there.

Go to Duo’s for brunch. Their menu includes both breakfast and lunch choices. They open at 10 on weekends. It never disappoints. Omelets, French toast, all beyond typical, all delicious!
