I have very mixed feelings about this place. We stayed at the Pearl street location and spent the extra money booking a Luxury King Suite- which came with a nice bathroom, and bath tub- yet the bath tub wasn’t working. We booked this room with the hope of being able to relax in a nice bath after a long day of walking and hiking…. However, when we went to turn the water on for the tub, the knob to switch the water from the small shower head to the water faucet shot out of place and spewed water EVERYWHERE. I called the front desk about it, but all they could offer was that we go downstairs to use the shower in the gym. I was so disappointed. Front desk staff apologized, but maintenance was gone for the day and the rooms were booked out. He asked us to mention the issue when we checked out for reconciliation and when I did, nothing was done. Not sure what to say besides I was highly disappointed that there wasn’t any more effort in making a “reconciliation.” We spent the extra money so we could relax and have a nice bath- yet all we got was a broken shower. I expect more when we pay over $500 a night for a room… just saying. Next time, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I had a fantastic stay at the Kinsley Hotel!

The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and relaxing from start to finish.

Every staff member I interacted with was helpful, but Greg absolutely stood out. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything about my visit went smoothly. You can really tell he takes pride in what he does. I highly recommend the Kinsley — and make sure you say hi to Greg while you’re there!

I had an amazing stay its beautiful, clean, and incredibly welcoming from the moment you walk in. The staff goes above and beyond, but I have to give a special shout-out to Greg — he was friendly, professional, and made sure everything during my stay was perfect. His customer service truly stood out. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this hidden gem to my friends and family.

My wife and I stayed here this weekend with our 9 month old and had a fantastic experience. The staff were amazing, especially Greg at the front desk, who took extra time to understand and assist us with our additional needs as traveling parents with a baby. Incredibly thoughtful and kind - thanks Greg!

We are planning a wedding 12/26, needing accommodations. Emily W. has been instrumental in presenting us with options and suggestions, she is kind, professional, and absolutely awesome.

Hotel Kinsley was a great experience - and great for the price. Ideal for a cozy getaway. The service was warm and helpful - especially Greg, who made sure our stay was perfect and was super accommodating and knowledgable about the area. Would recommend.

This hotel operates in four separate buildings that are not attached which is confusing and hard. There was a mouse in our room and it was loud with car traffic and yard guys with a blower one morning. Bar closes early in the other building where also breakfast is served. Breakfast is not much, some yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and bagels put out with a toaster. Definitely thought we would get more for what we paid for. The mouse was the worst part. Location was great.

There are some good design elements and bathroom is large. However there are some big cons:
1. Breakfast choice is very poor. We would expect to order some egg dishes with our own cost but there is no server in the area. Quality is also not consistent for the two days we spent. I would prefer a real cafe.
2. Room is quite small and noise from outside the door and the fridge.
Overall given the high price I don't recommend for relaxing and getaway.

This hotel is truely a gem. The stay surpassed all my expectations from checkin to checkout.

Be careful with the room descriptions, but otherwise, you are getting a boutique experience in a walkable town.

The hotel is VERY run down!
The staff, while well meaning, are terrible and not well trained (seems more like a bunch of friends) trying to run a hotel).

The worst was the noise! There was an entire family packed into a small room above us making the worst noise and the hotel refused to do anything about it.

Never again - far better hotel options in the Catskills

It's always a treat to visit the Kinsley. While a glass of wine is expensive, you should just go straight to the cocktails that run the same price. The menu, while missing the mark on a few things, is new and exciting. The use of seasonal produce and good ingredients is a delightful treat. Staff are perfect . I visit Kinsley not for the good food, but rather the exquisite interior dining experience. Just sublime!

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The restaurant is also fantastic!

Clean, spacious rooms in the heart of Kingston. I found it so charming that it used to be a state bank; the reception desk was a vault. Free parking is available (you will have to ask for a pass at the front desk). Breakfast is also provided, but a very simple fare of assorted breads, berries and sometimes yoghurt.

We stayed on the second floor and there was no elevator. So take note, if you require wheelchair access, to ask for ground floor rooms.
