Met an old heartthrob from our high school. Table was wobbly, out of a lot of menu items, and it was only lunch.

I always enjoy my didn't experience at Le Canard. The Escargot appetizer is a must! Service is impeccable! Le Canard is in my regular restaurant rotation.

This is probably our #1 French restaurant in the US... The ambiance is so authentic. You feel you're in Paris. The food and the service- total perfection! We will be back!

As the season changes into Autumn, there is nothing as enjoyable as having a good bottle of Bordeaux, scrumptious Cassoulet and good conversation with a long term friend! Le Canard does it right!

Best meal I've had in a long time! The chopped endive salad with blue cheese, walnuts and apple with a mustard balsamic vinaigrette was out this world. The pan seared branzino had a light sauce with dried cranberries and was served over fingerling potatoes and spinach. Scrumptious! The service was attentive and the ambience was delightfully French. All in all such a treat!

A delicious dinner with lovely warm ambiance. My husband had the Bronzino and I had the lamb shank. Both dishes were delightful. This was followed by divine tasting flourless chocolate cake. Bravo!

Fabulous Martini, fabulous crab cake, fabulous roast duck--tender, flavourful, crispy skin. Excellent service. A great meal. Servings were prompt, very little wait, and staff were simultaneously friendly and professional. No BS.

Happily it met our expectations. We were visiting the area from out of state and love French food. When we saw Le Canard Enchaine in our searches we decided to make that one of our dining spots and we were so glad we did. I had the 1/2 LI Duckling and my husband had the lamb shank.

The mussels are always excellent. Bread is warmed. Duck confit was superb. Water was very engaging and helpful.

In our experience, Le Canard is the most consistent restaurant in the Mid-Hudson Valley for excellent food, service and atmosphere.

Me and my partner really wanted to like this restaurant. We have been traveling throughout the Hudson River Valley for the last year, taking trips to different restaurants.(we both have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and travel for fun and for research). Throughout out trips to Kingston we have asked wait staff what their favorite places to go and eat are, Le Canard Enchaine was not one that was really brought up. The only reviews we got were people saying that they had been there many years ago. Based on this, other reviews, and our experience last week, it’s safe to say that this restaurant is not what it once was. Our food while edible, lacked in the flavor department, (ie. summer tomato’s with absolutely no flavor) and was served with wilted salads. The drinks, while good, were extremely expensive and one was served without any garnish. When a French martini is $20 it should be served with an orange slice or orange twist. It’s truly a shame because we really wanted to like this restaurant based off the menu and the overall look, however I don’t think the quality of the food matches the prices. With so many other Hudson Valley restaurants offering fresh local produce and meats, it’s unlikely we will be making a trip back.

It's been a seasonal ritual for me to drive up from the city to visit and experience the restaurant. One of the most authentic French cuisine, both taste and ambience, outside of France. Duck confit is always a must. Tender. Juicy. Scrumptious. Can't recommend enough. Ambience is wondrous, warm, and charming. Always receive the best service and always leave with tummy full of happiness.
