The mussels are always excellent. Bread is warmed. Duck confit was superb. Water was very engaging and helpful.

In our experience, Le Canard is the most consistent restaurant in the Mid-Hudson Valley for excellent food, service and atmosphere.

We had the goat cheese salad, tuna, and the duck and all was exquisitely prepared. The server was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The cocktails and wine were excellent too. The crème brûlée was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Friends had come to visit and requested to go to Le Canard Enchaine for dinner as we took them there one other time, and they loved it. They and we were not disappointed. Roast duckling with a berry sauce was exquisite. The skin was brown and cracklingly crispy, the meat was moist and fell from the bone, and the sauce was light, sweet but with a definite umami undertone- delicious! My one friend raved about the lamb shank which was meltingly delicious, and her husband had the NY strip which was huge, tender and cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. He said it was the best steak he's had, and even though it was large (about 2-2/12 inches thick) he ate every bite. The wines were excellent and the desserts were as good as the entrees. The tart tatin is highly recommended- buttery pastry and soft, sweet apples served with vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food and drinks prepared with care. It's the best French restaurant in the area, hands down.

I try to dine here often as I've always had great meals. Once again, they did not disappoint! It was surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday night, so the service was a little slower than usual, but other than that it was a great experience all around.

Went for a birthday dinner. Service and servers were outstanding. Lovely ambiance and quiet thought to be fair we were there very early evening. Oue sausage appetizer was delicious and a 5. I was slightly disappointed with the half roasted duck. It may be I am spoiled as we have eaten duck all over the world and the best duck I have had, the skin was crispy little to no fat with moist meat below. My duck dish though tasty did not have a crispy skin and the breast meat was somewhat dry. Dessert was classic apple taste and is was good. Overall good experience.

Wonderful French food. Hard to find and so glad to take friends back to this lovely bistro.

Nice restaurant and very good food. Service needs attention. We requested two bills, and the waiter mixed up the entire bill. We ended up dividing the bill among parties rather than straighten out the waiter's errors.

Went for Mother's Day lunch. Everything was great until a loud waiter, Patrick, waited on the table next to us. Patrick then started talking loudly to the table over the top of our table. It was annoying and rude. He acted like he owned the place and no one else mattered. We had a hard time holding a conversation at our table because of this. The food was okay, but we will not be back.
