Maybe we came on an off day or time of day or ordered the wrong stuff but this food was awful. My wife got a house salad (they had a sign advertising that they have salads) and it was worse than college cafeteria food. I got a chicken salad sandwich but they were out so I got some other concoction with a bunch of grapes in it. It was fine though too many grapes but the salad was hella gross.
The crazy thing was that at noon on Friday they were out of everything including chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, roast beef, pastrami, eggs, tomatoes, and turkey.
I appreciate that this is a minority-owned mother and daughter business and they were both very kind (particularly the daughter). But the food was some of the worst we’ve ever had.

I went to The Market Basket to get lunch. I purchased a sandwich called The Eva! It was absolutely amazing! Please go grab a sandwich from these ladies. You will not regret it!

You gotta get the muffins here in the morning. Grilled w butter. The apple and blueberry ones are outstanding as well as the corn and chocolate chip. This spot has been a staple for me ever since I was a kid, and I love that it is still around given that so many spots in the uptown area have been driven out due to the migration of city people.

A great place to go for soups, sandwiches or wraps. My go to spot for the best salad uptown!
Stopped in here coming off the highway looking for a decent deli. Run by mother-daughter duo, we met the mother. She seemed to know everyone by name that came in (excluding us out of towners). Super polite, generous portions, bread was tasty and fresh. Exactly what we wanted. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

A nice local deli. Order at the counter. Booth and table seating. Menu includes a lot of usual deli offerings, with daily specials. His meat-stuffed sub sandwich was yummy. My tuna melt special was decent; the bread could have been more grilled. The potato salad was tasty.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the family at Market Basket. I reached out to them to cater a repast for the passing of a loved one in the area; being from out of town, I was unsure where to turn, but the staff was extremely comforting and accommodating when I reached out. The food was exceptional and the presentation and delivery was extremely professional. Thank you for helping my family in our time of need, and I hope to come by the store if I am in the area again!
