I’ve been going to Monte Cristos for years and never leave disappointed. Friendly staff, great food, beautiful view! My only problem is I seldom stray from the Buffalo Burger, absolutely delicious! Highly recommended if you’re looking for some good eats while enjoying Lake George!
Great, old fashioned place to grab food & drinks.
We were in town for October fest and found our way into this restaurant and bar. We had a few delicious drinks 🍸 and actually came back for breakfast. The food was better than expected! The staff were pleasant and there was a fun crowd at the bar.

Monte Cristos Family Grille offers a pleasant dining experience with delicious food and great service. Guests have enjoyed a variety of meals, from breakfast items like corn hash and eggs to lunch and dinner options such as pizza and battered fish. The combo special for breakfast is a good portion and well-prepared. Barbecued beef sandwich and N.Y. strip steak are also noted as delicious and prepared as requested.
While the service is generally quick and attentive, with friendly staff, there have been instances where checking back with tables could be improved. The restaurant is nicely located downtown, with a cool double deck offering lake views. However, some guests feel that certain appetizers, like seared tuna and muscles fradiavlo, could be better. Despite some minor critiques, many reviewers express a desire to return, indicating Monte Cristos Family Grille is a place that will not disappoint for a satisfying meal in a tourist town.
