We stopped in the cafe in a Saturday night in May while in town for the weekend. We heard live music from the street as we walked past so we decided to come in for a drink.

The musician was good but I didn’t get video. Her name was Mary I think.

We sat a the bar. The bartenders were attentive at first then it took a while to get one of them when we wanted to check out but they were friendly. We only had drinks and didn’t eat anything. The drinks were good.

The atmosphere was cool mostly. It got somewhat loud at one point because the people beside us were hooting and hollering.

Prices for the drinks were similar to most other places in town. We walked from the hotel so I think parking is in the street but there may be a lot nearby.

While we were sitting here enjoying the music, another guest came in and sat next to us and she was wearing horrendous perfume. I’m just bringing that up to ask, if you are reading this, don’t overdue your perfume when you go out in public and sit in close quarters at the bar. A spritz or two is enough. I don’t know what it was and I didn’t ask but it was worse than patchouli and it was so strong I imagine she swam laps in it.

We enjoyed the music and the drinks.

Someone tell the chef that serving a 4 oz burger patty for the 21 dollar smash burger is so grotesque he shouldn’t be aloud to work in hospitality anymore. Hack

Spare yourselves! I don't usually write reviews but felt the need to share my experience so others are not subjected to one of the worst dinners ever.
Getting beyond the fact there is a $12 charge for a few rolls, the French onion soup tasted leftovers from a chemical experiment. The steak, if you could call it that was nothing more than a piece of grizzle with bone and the salmon was a a bland tasteless dry as burnt toast disaster. The only good thing I can say is they did take these items off the bill so, no complaint with the waitress or the service.
Avoid this restaurant.

One of the best meals I've had in the Lake Placid region. Service was excellent and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definately visit again!

Second time trying this place and both times were horrible. It’s a bummer this place was so bad because the ambiance is chill and the atmosphere has potential. I was super sick from my first meal here for a solid day, then we came back a year later during a hockey tournament and decided to give it another try when our other 2 restaurant choices were too long of a wait (so dumb I realize that now). I instantly regretted coming here when the salad came out. I was hopeful the steak entree I split with my husband would be better…1/2 of it was fat. The vegetables tasted like fish, and I have a shellfish allergy so this was a bit concerning for me. My daughter said her chicken fingers tasted weird, so I tried a bite and it was actually rubbery. Our server never came by to refill our glasses with water or asked how anything was. Service was as terrible as the food. Would 100% never recommend this place to anyone. It was probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.

Breakfast at the cafe is always great. Good portions and excellent service. The drinks at the bar are well made. The atmosphere at the bar depends entirely on the season and day. It isn’t an ‘Apres Skii’ destination, but it is a decent spot to wind down the evening.

Food was inedible. Ordered a Caesar salad with steak and the steak was cold and chopped up pieces that appeared to be left over steak. The burgers were hockey pucks and also cold. All the food was cold. Prime rib was cold too. Such a shame. Worst dinner ever. Drinks were good and decor is pretty.

The food really was terrible. They need to rethink the menu. Staff was overwhelmed and tried their best!

I rarely write reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was so frustrating that I had to share. We made a reservation and were seated promptly, but that's where the positives end. We sat there for a full 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us—no water, no menus, nothing. Finally, a server appeared, but instead of helping us, they went straight to the table next to ours, who had only arrived about 5 minutes earlier. It felt like we were invisible! We ended up leaving without ordering anything. If this is how they treat customers, I won't be back, and I don't recommend it to anyone. Poor management and terrible service all around.

We always stay at the Tribute hotel and we dine often in Marcy. The food and the ambiance has been always great!

The food is amazing! I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly.
