We chose Simply Gourmet for our wedding in Upper Jay NY and they did NOT disappoint. We chose the Meadows package, and it exceeded every expectation. The food was incredible, fresh, and full of flavor. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. From start to finish, the service was seamless and professional, which allowed us to truly enjoy our day without any stress. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and would recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch catering for their special event.

We ordered catering for our elopement. We got a variety of brunch items and an assortment of desserts to bring to dinner with our family. Everything we got was amazing! The pastry platter was still warm when we picked it up!! If we’re ever back in the area, we’re definitely ordering from here again! Thank you for being so easy to work with and quick to respond via email

Went in for breakfast because when you visit the Lake Placid breakfast must not be a priority. No places open before 11am. Some closed the first part of the week. So we ended up here. The 3 of us ordered eggs over with toast. Not a huge order, right??? All of our eggs were fried hard. You place your order, go pick it up and then have to clean up your table. Not busy should have been the first clue. They don't have real silverware. All cheap plastic. Can't imagine how they serve dinner and drinks in the other side, all empty and dark. Would not recommend and it was over $40 for 3 coffee, 6 eggs over super hard and 3 pieces of toast, when did they start giving only one slice? No potatoes, no meat either.

Simply Gourmet is a true gem of Lake Placid! We had a big event this past weekend, and ordered 25 sandwiches for lunch, many with changes or modifications. Every order was prepared exactly as ordered, and they were absolutely amazing! When you walk into the store, you are greeted by not only aromas of their fresh baked breads and other delicious items, but by some of the friendliest staff anywhere. I cannot possibly recommend Simply Gourmet more! You will not be disappointed!!

This should not even be called a sandwich. I was charged $14 + tax for avocado that is barely there (the other side of our sandwich had no avocado somehow and the picture below of the open sandwich shows a little sliver of some but that was it...), half a slice of bacon, and a singular piece of lettuce? I understand costs have gone up, but if you're going to increase the price for a sandwich and still make it like shit, you're going to lose a lot of business. I loved simply gourmet back when they were actually good (5 years ago) but every time I've stopped back in this year, it has been a massive disappointment. Every single time now my sandwich comes to me like this, as well as my boyfriends.

I've been here twice, first time good service and decent food. Second time that I went in the girl at the register wouldn't get off the phone to acknowledge that I was there and didn't say a word to me. She would walk off on the phone come back a couple minutes later and then leave again. She didn't say I'll be with you not one word. I asked other employees if anyone could take my order, they all stood around doing nothing and said that she was the only one that could take the order. My nephew didn't know the name of the sandwich he orders from there so he wrote it down. The rude young woman read the order and tried to ring up a 20 dollar sandwich because she said there is no sandwich that had those ingredients. When I got back home I asked my nephew if the sandwich was on the menu, he then showed me the exact sandwich, it's called cliff, that the rude lady said they didn't have and it was 6 dollars cheaper than what she tried to charge me for ordering off menu. Either the management or owners are lax in their duties or she is a child of the owner. Avoid this place

I have only gone to pick up and take out. Love the soups, and I still need to try some other deli counter items.

Best sandwich ever. Their most popular sandwich have a star next to them. I got the Haystack... It had maple syrup infused mayo!! It was incredible. Coolers had a great selection of deserts. I got the peanut butter pie. It was over the top amazing. If your in Lake Placid you HAVE to try this place.

Very good atmosphere here, and a lot of great sandwiches to choose from. Their bread was supposed to be the best part, so I ordered with the caramelized onion bread. It really wasn't all that amazing, but it did taste very fresh. If ya like a Balsamic vinaigrette then you'd like it. As for the rest of the sandwich, well... first things first: there's a big sign that says that you can make your own sandwich, add ingredients to any sandwich, or change anything in any way. I saw a good looking sandwich, and all I wanted to do was toss a little lettuce in there to bring out the undertones of the vinegar already in the sandwich. I asked if they have lettuce. The lady got real confused, asked three people if it were possible, and I never saw her again. Two minutes later a new person came out and finished the order. :( I never got lettuce.

Great soups, usually. Today I tried the split pea/ham, and the peas were not cooked. They were actually crunchy. Tried to call to speak to them about it, but line always busy.
