It's a definite stop when we ate at Lake
My happy place.
Great casual dining. Bar like atmosphere with up beat vibe. Limited menu with tasty
Great. Short wait, still good food and friendly staff. Great view. Warm inside. Would do again with friends.
great view and cozy restaurant. the reuben was unique as it came with no top part of the sandwich bread, but it tasted great and their drink options were great
Great spot for dinner with great food option. We really enjoyed the artichoke dip and pizzas. My husband loved the pulled pork. Have gluten free options also.
Lunch on the lake. Beautiful day. Had the beet salad. Bed of spinach held julienned apple, feta, loads of pecan halves and of course many slices of beets all bathed in raspberry vinaigrette. Party of five and everyonewas happy, especially the one who ordered the Chicken Pot Pie soup. Very busy cuz they have very good food. Had to wait having a drink around a wood stove outdoors. It was a good day.

Love this casual spot for a great meal in a low key environment with a beautiful view of Mirror Lake. They take no reservations.
Great location but food is (very) below average. The portions are small. It was raining so we decided to order pick up. They charge $2 per item carry out charge plus tip on all entrees/orders. The potion size is very small for a big price. I understand it is a resort, but they need to be reasonable. We would have ordered delivery from neighbouring restaurants in the town, but most places had no delivery available due to rain and flood warning. In a nutshell, our experience was totally HOPELESS .… first and the last time we order here.
Left our lunch at this small restaurant. The wait was rather long (we arrived at 1 pm on a weekday and waited 60 minutes for a party of three) however this was fairly reasonable as we had our dog with us and could only sit outside and they explained they were doing half service. Additionally, given they were only using their porch for the dining service, they gave us full use of the lower patio to sit, drink, and soak up the views before our name was called. They conveniently used a texting system that informed you of your place in line and would text you when your table was ready. The food and drink were lovely as was the service. Very dog friendly. Unsurprisingly, couldn't beat the view! Would absolutely return again.
Food was great but the hostess didn't ask us if we wanted to sit inside or outside so she just put us outside. It was very cool temps and no heaters. The waitress said the heaters needed propane yet we could see the propane in the heaters so I feel like she just didn't want to deal with it. Always ask people if they want inside or outside seating. Overall, it was a nice view and good food!
The staff is very professional , courteous and efficient. Delightful atmosphere. Great
Let's start with the positive, the view is amazing, well if there aren't any flies on the windows, I counted 5 when I was there. But it is right on the water and late summer...Another highlight was the hostess, great attitude and accommodating. We walked in a little before noon, there was one other table inside and several occupied on the patio. Three servers and the bartender to cover this. The four of them stood at the bar talking and laughing very loudly. They tended to the tables around us, but not us, not even water to drink.Just as I said to my wife Let's go, 5-10 minutes after we had been sitting there. A server apparently had drawn the short straw and came to our table, saying there had been a mix up in communication. Maybe that was what the bar chat was about, laughing about who had to serve us...We ordered two sandwiches, two glasses of tea, and a side of macaroni side. The tea was old, the macaroni salad was from a carton, the sandwiches were good, but could have been made at home, and the kettle chips were from a bag. This cost over $50?Ridiculous, do what you want, but I won't darken their door again
The Cottage Cafe is located at The Cottage at Mirror Lake Inn which is a small cozy restaurant on the water. We were seated inside at a cozy corner right next to the water on this rainy evening but there is outdoor seating as well. There is a limited menu but meal was delicious and the service was excellent. They have an extensive wine and beer selection as well. Prices are very reasonable and I would recommend this place for a tasty meal or drink. There is also a bar inside for seating.
The location is amazing but the food is really bad and not at all as described on the menu. The ahi tuna was weirdly fishy and a lot of the food seemed frozen. My $16 cocktail tasted like it was made at a college bar.
