This barbecue spot was absolutely incredible! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with smoky flavor, and paired perfectly with their rich, tangy sauce. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made the whole experience just as memorable as the food.

The fried pickles were not good. They were pieces of fried pickles, not sliced like normal restaurants serve.. the fried breading fell right off before you were even able to eat it. My brisket tacos were a 5/10, the claw slaw ruined the taco in my opinion. My bf got the cowboy burger- burger meat was over cooked. We also got 2 ipa beers and 1 margarita (couldn’t taste the alcohol in it).. the total with tax/tip came to $130!!! NOT worth it.

Keep walking. Food is super overpriced. $24 for a brisket sandwich that was on a soggy fall-apart roll because it was soaked in the sauce to cover up the fact there wasn't much brisket at all. Really disappointing. The chili that was supposed to be barbecue tasted more like watery ketchup. Only good thing i could say was they had a decent selection of local beer. The beer was the best part. Service was good. Atmosphere is weird as hell. They had an older guitarist performing songs from the 70s and 80s for 20 year olds?? Idk. It was the only thing open late.

Absolutely amazing food! Traveled from downstate NY and would come back to Lake Placid next year just to eat this food!
Picked up takeout around quarter till 12 on August 27, 2025. They had me use touchscreen to take out which was OK. But when I got back to my hotel with my sandwich, which was pulled pork, I was gravely disappointed. Pork was definitely reheated from the day before and was like pork jerky. Extremely tough and chewy. It was supposed to come with BBQ sauce, coleslaw and cheese sauce all of which were not there. Came with a slice of pineapple with the core in it. The only good part was the homemade chips however they were not salted at all. I would probably never recommend going there for at least the pulled pork. And for the price of $23 it was not worth it.

The bartender was awesome, fun, personable. Overall the restaurant is a little tired but I think that's kind of the vibe and idea. Some different options like gf ketchup, spicy ketchup, pickled eggs and picks sausage. We had the xl burger with fries. Fries were good but super salty. The burger was excellent, double smash burger with excellent char, bacon jam, we also got bacon, and the big Mac like sauce was excellent. If you like a good smoky burger that's not pretentious, highly recommend.

Can't attest to the food because I ended up getting sick the day we had a reservation and couldn't eat but they wanted $40 to cancel the reservation because it was less than 24 hrs. and this was not a holiday weekend. I understand they need to have a cancelation policy but $40. Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't go there again just for that reason alone.
