After all the written hype this Chef and Companion took the ride to see for ourselves. Breakfast at 9am with a smile from our waitress. Coffee and tea in a jiff. On to the orders. Companion had the Avocado Toast with 2 sunny side ups and chili crisps (chili oil with deep fried garlic bits). The Toast, I believe was from 2 heels of fresh baked farmers bread but were toasted to a rock (Companion had to use a serrated knife to cut it). Two perfectly cooked eggs and the sliced avocado...
Gracie's is such a lovely place, highly recommend! The staff is wonderful and the food is incredible. The vibe is casual and comfortable, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Don't miss the sandwiches, chicken and waffles, and donuts :-) LOVE!!
The price for an egg and cheese sandwich is the highest I have ever seen in the Capital District -- $12 + $2 if you want me at with the egg and cheese. There was nothing special about the sandwich. I was with a guest, a friend, who paid the bill. I couldn't stomach it.
