Drinks are the best! Some portions, depending on what you order, might be considered small by comparison to other local restaurants. But the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the seafood pasta was very good. I do not recommend the steak sandwich on the bar menu. It consists of mostly bread and fries and minimal protein.
We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully...
Drinks and food were delicious, my only qualm was the plating and flavors were relatively one note which I wasn't expecting. All in all we had a wonderful time! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and the specials change daily.
