“Stopped in here for birthday dinner & drinks. The food and cocktails were amazing!! It was the perfect vibe to celebrate. We loved it so much we came back the next morning for breakfast sammies & mimosas.”
“Delicious!!! We tried a few things and were all very happy with our orders. I got the fried green tomato sandwich and devoured it. We had mixed reviews on the biscuit. Some liked that it was buttery and warm and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Others wanted a more dense texture like a traditional southern biscuit. Staff was lovely and the vibe was very friendly and comfortable. Super cute spot with yummy food. Definitely try it!!”
“Great natural wine and cute vibes. We sat at the bar, which is where you also order, but there is also a side room and patio for nice days. We got a bottle of sparkling brut rose pet nat and it was delicious. Highly recommend coming here.”
“Delicious little spot in town that shouldn’t be missed. About 10 spots to sit but it wasn’t crowded on a February Saturday afternoon. Food tasted fresh and came out quickly, and was very reasonably priced.”
“Fantastic beer, great food truck with a good variety of options, much merch, fire pit outside, tent with foosball and a fireplace, lots of outdoor picnic tables.”
“This is a, must-do vacation if you’re looking for a pet-friendly stay in the Catskills. We stayed in Bobbie’s FarmHouse and everything was perfect about this place. It’s a good mix of rustic & comfort while offering an escape from the city. The staff is kind and friendly, the breakfast is farm fresh and the property has wonderful green spaces you can enjoy with your dog.@waldentherescuedog had the best time!Rooms: Clean, comfortable and spaciousFood & drinks: Farm fresh and hearty”
“Great place, great atmosphere. Came with my uncle, a long time local, and really enjoyed the stone oven pizza. Very tavernesque, cozy style upstairs that's extremely aesthetic and inviting. Great food, better staff. Would 10/10 recommend if you're ever in the ”
“If you love an authentic diner, this is the place for you. Family run, nostalgic diner vibes, and a tight, classic diner menu with no substitutions. Also…Best pancakes ever!”
“People are saying that it's not going to happen, but I don't know what to do with this. Broccoli and cheese on rice is right whenever you need it. Goodbye star girl.”
“Waitress was a sweetheart - very kid friendly. Drinks and food were great. Pretty crowded for upstate but it was new years eve weekend! We got the steak and the pot pie. We will be back!”
“This place is a gem! The staff is kind and attentive. The servers went out of their way to engage with our 4 year olds. Furthermore, the food is absolutely delicious.”
“Excellent service- very personal. Delicious food. Obviously the cook takes great pride in his work! Great wine. No room for improvement! Would definitely go again!”
“This is the best restaurant in the Catskills! I live in Brooklyn NY and eat in Michelin star restaurants all the time (sry for being a Dbag). George is the man! OK, to start the bread service is amazing, do not sleep on that. You like gyro? come here! Its so good and portions are legit .. and that is putting the cart before the horse b/c the greek salad (included with gyro entree) is amazing. BUT .. the deserts THE DESSERTS are the so good .. in truth you either know or you don't know but this place is amazing!!”
“Great service and even better food. Traditional diner classics with Greek specialties as well. My family of four enjoyed the sandwiches and dinner specials as well. A good sign of quality diner is the way they make a classic cheese burger - and their burgers are perfect. But you need to leave room for their desserts! If not take them to go - you won’t regret it! This has been my go to diner for past three years.”
“What a quaint, family oriented, and such delicious food. My husband had the Mussel with the best red pasta sauce. And I had the tasty Cod, clams, and mussels. It is very authentic, fresh, and full of robust flavors.”
“I got in and I was greeted, I responded and asked for a coffee in the same breath. I was offered a free one brewed just for me. It does not happen often these days. The bar has a strong local vibe apparently revolving around hunting. Someday I must come back to have a beer here.”
“Wow! What a special place Cabernet Franks is! So homey and cozy. Food is freshly made from scratch - be prepared for that timing - totally worth the wait! We had the Buffalo chicken dip (not pictured but so good!), loaded fries, mozz sticks, the ribs! Omg you have to try. And I had the wild mushroom raviolis (so good!) and we also had fish and chips. I got the cocktail with Mezcal and Hot honey! So good and OMG of the strongest drinks I have ever had. The live music was great as well! Can’t wait to come back!”
“We were looking for somewhere to grab dinner while traveling. Wife found Star online and it looked like a good spot. Please don’t take this the wrong way; the onion rings were VERY GOOD, and that was the worst part of our meal. Buffalo wings were awesome (but get there early because we heard they sell out quickly). Our burgers were great, and the sweet potato fries were the best we’ve ever had. Our waitress/bartender was very attentive but not overbearing. It’s definitely a “locals” kinda place, but travelers (like us) are made to feel like locals.”
“Loved Chick E Ribs. Great service, excellent prices and delicious BBQ. Tried them for the first time on a Thursday & immediately and back to try more menu items on Friday. Loved it. Great environment, you can see the big smokers out back. They even have picnic tables available outside. Very clean place, kind & helpful staff. Can’t say enough good things. 10/10, highly recommend.(Seriously, the prices, homemade sides and quality are all incredible… stop by Weds-Sun and see for yourself).”
“We had the BEST night at Bridge and Tunnel Brewery Liberty NY Catskills! If anyone ever goes to the Catskills you NEED to go here. The owner, Rich, knows how to brew beer. ? The stouts are absolutely scrumptious. The Hefe is crisp and the IPAs are tasty without being too strong. So much balance in every brew he makes. There wasn’t a single thing that was bad. He really is a master at his craft.Everything was incredible and the space itself was beautiful and immaculate. It’d be an amazing venue for a show or an event. Nice, open, and immaculately clean. Rich takes pride in this space and place and it shows.Chris, our tender for the night, was absolutely amazing too! He even serenaded us with some Simple Minds and INXS. ?He was knowledgeable about ALL the beers on the menu and was more than happy to give us a sample before we committed to a pint.So glad we got to spend time there and enjoy an amazing night with amazing people. ❤️”
“If you haven’t been, you gotta stop in. Everything about the place is awesome. Extremely friendly staff, great food, and of course great beer. If you’re not a drinker honestly it’s worth a stop in for the food and the atmosphere.”
“The food here is delicious! Stopped here on way back to NYC from Syracuse. The woman was very kind and offered us the daily special - arroz con pollo (rice w/ chicken) + salad + tostonoes (mashed fried plantains). We ordered 2 specials and 1 hamburger w/ fries. The presentation of food was beautiful and the food was delicious- fresh and flavorful. The tostones had mashed avocados on it. The salad had some lemon squeezed on it. The chicken in the rice was pulled with some veggies. The hamburger was delicious!!! Had minced sautéed onions - overall delicious. 3 meals plus drinks for under $50. Very clean too. I will be coming back on my next trip up. We ate so fast that I missed taking a picture of the food presentation. Don't miss this spot!”
“Great salads, soups, sandwichs, chicken wingsKeep Missing spaghetti and meatballs night but we'll make it one of these weeksGirl that waits tables and does the bar great and always cheerful never to busy to check on you needing”
“Excellent food and service!! Highly recommend!! We loved the souvlakia and pastichio platters as well as their own homemade salad dressing! Also loved the Avgolemoni soup and spanakopita!”
“What a nice spot for a coffee, tea, and pastries! It is a large location with an open floor full of brightness from all of the windows. The coffee drinks are very good, and the pastries are even better.Kid-friendliness: The books are great for the kids.”
“I grew up in Queens and have sampled Pizza from all over New York City, and every time I have a slice when I'm visiting this small town of Jeffersonville I am blown away by how good this Pizza is! Crispy thin crust perfect balance of sauce and cheese and I love that the sauce is just a little on the sweet side. One of my favorite pizzas from anywhere!”
“Really good pizza. Haven't been to every kosher pizza place in the Catskills, but hard to imagine there's anything much better. Even had fresh vegetables in the salad bar. The soft serve ice cream was odd though, the proportions were off and it was too dense.”
“We love Lickity Splits. We have been coming here as a regular treat after scout meetings. Great ice cream! I especially love their pistachio but all the scoops are terrific. The folks that run the place are cheerful and gracious. Good service, nice place, great ice cream.”
“This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I lived in NYC for 15 years and basically only ate Thai food. This beats all of the places there! And, friends who come to visit agree.Dietary restrictions: My husband has terrible food allergies (including onions and garlic) and Sweet Basil is always accommodating. They cook everything fresh and you can tell.”

“We happened upon this place after a long drive up from Pennsylvania. We knew we picked the right place when we saw a wedding party at Upward. We were in the Catskills to celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary. The food was delicious. The burgers and chips and salsa hit the spot after sitting in traffic from afternoon to evening. The beers were tasty enough we came back for seconds. It was the location that really made the experience. Though the place was packed, we had a large table to ourselves away from the party. Each employee went above and beyond to serve. Clearly this is a great place to work, because everyone we met was happy we were there. This is definitely a beautiful location and great spot to wind down. The outside had numerous fire pits. Kids were running around the grassy hillside after the autumnal sunset. Two dogs made an appearance, both inside and out. Do yourself a favor and stop at Upward. We didn't stop spending at food or beers. We found ourselves in the gift shop stocking up on sweatshirts for the cool night and a trucker hat to replace old headgear. This place is highly recommended.”
