The rooms are a bit on the small side but the massive common areas and trails make up for it in spades. The restaurant is a must do

came here for our belated valentines day dinner for our weekend away from the city and was genuinely surprised to find such a gem. the food was delicious and we couldn’t help ourselves but order basically the whole menu. highlights include the bread and butter (must get), grilled leeks, duck legs and broccolini. service was also great and the waiter even helped us with choosing the best route back home due to the snow ❄️

I’m speechless. The dinner was just something special. The food was unbelievably delicious. GET THE BURGER !! Staff was very attentive and inviting.
We just enjoyed a fantastic two-day stay at The Debruce, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unplug, unwind, and enjoy a charmingly rustic atmosphere with exceptional food.
From the start, the service was attentive and thoughtful. Even before we arrived, there was excellent communication, providing everything we needed to know, and they went above and beyond to help us arrange our dinner reservations in advance.
Our welcome was warm and personal (thank you, Anastasija!), complete with a delicious welcome drink awaiting us. Nestled on 600 acres, the property offers a wonderful network of trails, which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring each day. While the hotel is remote, it’s just a short 8-minute drive to Livingston Manor, where you’ll find charming shops and great lunch spots.
The food is outstanding—each morning began with a generous breakfast selection, and dinner was a culinary delight. We tried the à la carte menu one night and the tasting menu the next; I highly recommend experiencing both.
The Debruce is the perfect escape from New York City. The scenic drive up is easy, and once here, you truly feel off the grid—exactly what we needed. Thank you to everyone at The Debruce for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

We sat for dinner at 6pm, a la carte, and it was a very awesome experience. First, the wall of windows makes the dining room seem huge and open, in reality it is very intimate. An open view into the kitchen makes dining exciting. The staff were great and the food was amazing! A thoughtfully curated menu where every piece was cooked to perfection.
Thank you for the experience. Thank you Will and Gio!

Had a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting. Roasted trout was terrific and the dessert with the bay leaf ice cream was amazing.
We had our wedding at The DeBruce this past month and it was nothing short of magical. The team at this venue and Foster Supply is absolutely amazing and we would highly recommend them to anyone.
My husband and I have the highest standards for hospitality and we spent a lot of time ensuring that every single detail would go perfectly for our guests. The DeBruce team not only matched these standards but far exceeded our expectations. Throughout the planning process, Katie and Rachael were so organized with us and they were invested with us to create a wedding experience that felt authentic to us as a couple. They are experts in event planning and this really showed throughout the process.
During the weekend, the team pulled out all the stops to make sure everything was flawless and most of all that we had so much fun throughout all of it! Our family and guests still rave about how amazing the DeBruce team was - Michele, Erik, Will, countless others, thank you thank you. If you can't tell already, this is the type of place where you get to know everyone by name and they truly felt like family after it. For the wedding day, we had to go with Plan B because of the weather but due to the team’s magic making, it honestly turned out even better than the original Plan A.
And then there was the food. Chef JP and his team are so incredibly talented. We had an initial call with him back in the spring but they took it from there and he created an amazing menu from the weekend that spanned Turkish food, Japanese food, New American food and more. Everyone was blown away by the food and it really set the tone for the entire weekend experience.
We looked at a lot of high end venues in the upstate area and we are so so happy that we picked the DeBruce. The DeBruce perfectly brought to life our vision to create an intimate weekend that was elevated but not stuffy. We can't recommend them enough and huge thank you to this amazing team <3

This is place is out of reach and non contactable. We booked a breakfast for my friend’s birthday. My friend is very into food and we have been looking forward to this meal for a long time. Since it is a 3 hours drive from where we live, we try to call in advance to find out whether it is dog friendly. We called over 15 times for 2 days and no one picked up the call. On the day there were severe traffic due to car accidents, we wanted to contact the restaurant to sort it out and still no one answered. We finally got here and the kitchen was closed. So we end up driving 3 hours for no apparent reason. If any of the issues can be communicated in a call, we won’t waste 6 hours on a long weekend to try to get to this place. The staff told us the hotel fired the entire front desk team so no one can reach out to them. I haven’t either heard of any hotels so out of staff. The hotel is $400 per night and this is what it turns out to be. This is such a disappointing experience. The damage to our weekend and to the birthday is non-retractable. I firmly believe this place has gone downhill and is not worth anyone’s time.
Great place to go on a Monday in the Catskills for fine food and beautiful views of the surrounding county side. Did not have a reservation but was promptly seated, are server Giovanni was superb!!! The new chef had different and wonderfully put together and different dishes that were put together masterfully!!! You cant go wrong here!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Debruce this weekend and I couldn’t even begin to aptly express how wonderful this property is. We did not have a reservation as it was a spontaneous day trip, however we were warmly greeted by Michele and were comfortable in our room within a few minutes. I find each space in the hotel provides a different experience for whatever type of leisure you enjoy. The tasting menu was unique and impeccable. We have been to many of the best of the best in the Catskills. We never repeat a hotel but this is one we will for sure be coming back to. It feels more like staying at the home of great friends or family than “just a hotel”. 10 out of 10! Can’t wait to return.

I did not stay here as a guest but dined at the restaurant. My husband and I saved up to have the eight course tasting menu ($175/pp) for our anniversary dinner. We were profoundly disappointed by the quality of service we received, so much so that it was hard to even pay attention to the food. On Saturdays they offer a single seating at 8 pm and exclusively offer the tasting menu. I had to request copies of the beverage list and menus after seeing them supplied to neighboring tables. Nobody took our drink orders. By 9:30 pm we had only been served bread and a small bite of fish. About 20-30 min elapsed between each course being finished and the next one being served. The final two “courses” amounted to cookies served in a buffet line in another room. The staff are in over their heads, unable to execute the synchronization and precision required to pull off this type of dinner service. And for all of that, it cost OVER $400 with tax/tip for the two of us (not including drinks). If you’re going to charge luxury prices, the expectation is impeccable service. This dining experience fell way short. Unfortunately, we were left feeling robbed and disappointed on a night that was meant to be a special occasion. Do not recommend.

We went to the DeBruce for our anniversary dinner, and it was a lovely stay. There was a small hiccup in communication, but the team took care of us and handled it graciously. We didn't have the chance to try the tasting menu, but every dish on the a La Carte menu was spectacular and the service was great. We're adamant about eventually trying the tasting menu, so we're already planning our next trip there! Thank you to everyone on the team.
