The store is very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and delicious ice cream with lots of flavors - normal and creative. Be aware - the scoops are very generous so if you order a double in a cone you better be ready to get licking - speaking from experience:)
We moved from the Lockport area down to NC around 6 years ago but come up usually once yearly to see family. Lake Effect is one of the places we ALWAYS make a point to stop at. Excellent ice cream, unique flavors. I especially love their salted caramel and London fog.

The ice cream was some of the best I’ve had. The texture was great, it was like they stirred it extra or something. I got the s’mores sundae not realizing how elaborate it would be I was pleasantly surprised.
