I don’t get to visit anymore since my grandparents passed away, but this is a great spot on the way to Olcott! White hot dogs are nonexistent in Michigan.

Reids is a beloved spot with an old-school 1960s charm that has been a Lockport institution for decades. The restaurant offers a wide range of options, including burgers, hot dogs, and shakes. The hot dogs are especially praised, with one customer calling their unique sauce "truly out of this world" and mentioning favorites like Red Hot and White Hot. The milk shakes are described as "one of a kind" and bring back nostalgic memories of Saturday evenings after church softball. The portions are small, allowing for a variety of dishes to be enjoyed, and the prices remain amazing. Reids is a classic roadside hots stand that has been around for over 75 years, with a quick turnaround and a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is easily accessible, with no stairs, and the nearby park adds a relaxing environment, perfect for a stop on a long bike ride along the Erie Canal trail. There are plenty of picnic tables and some indoor seating, which adds to its convenience. Recent reviews mention that the onion rings are good again, and the service is great. The indoor dining area could use more cleaning, napkins, and some repairs, with comments about dirty bathrooms and holes in the chairs. Overall, Reids continues to serve delicious food off the grill, making it a favorite spot for families and visitors alike.
