Ate at the new Bistro last Friday for the first time, and wow. Having been a Birch Hill Market customer for many years now, and knowing the top shelf quality of meats and seafood that Tom and co source, I was already going in with high expectations. The chef, Americo and rest of the team, far exceeded our expectations. The steak was better than any high end steak house I’ve eaten at, and reasonably priced. The rest of my party got the salmon, which was “melting in their mouthes.” Excellent cocktails as well. If you are looking for top NYC quality food here on LI, this is a must try

Australian Wagyu NY strip. They don’t always have it but is the best steak you’ll ever eat. Have them cut it to 1.5 in. Liberal kosher salt. 5 min each side high heat in dry cast iron pan. Then flip every 30s for another 3 minutes. Perfect medium rare. Will be the best steak you’ve ever had
