I’ve been coming here for years and have always enjoyed bringing visitors to share the experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit with Laurie completely changed that. She was rude, unwelcoming, and unnecessarily judgmental — the exact opposite of the atmosphere I’ve come to expect here.

This was the first time I’ve ever had such a negative experience, and sadly, it will also be the last. I would never want my friends, family, or anyone else to be exposed to that kind of treatment. An environment that makes people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome is not one I can recommend anymore.

Stopped on a road trip to look at the grounds and particularly to see the koi in their large outdoor pond.

We had lunch at the GennyLee, out on the deck looking over the vineyards and lake. Beautiful setting and good food. Most impressive was our server, Mary! I mentioned i have a reaction to a specific food and she was understanding and attentive. She came back after I placed my order to say that what I wanted actually had the food item. She saved me from myself by listening and being proactive. Awesome!

Absolutely the best...Great lunch at ginneys....pricing was great. Wines are terrific and reasonably priced. Really a must stop!! What a view sitting outside for lunch. Homerun!!

Nice observation deck looking at lake Seneca in the distance. Open seating (indoor and outdoor)with both wine and craft beer tasting. Staff were very pleasant throughout all points of contact.

I came to the Finger Lakes hoping to enjoy not just good wine, but also warm hospitality, good conversation, and attentive customer service. Unfortunately, this winery fell short in that regard. While the space itself was well-maintained and clean, with absolutely spectacular views, the overall experience was disappointing.

The tasting room was busy, which I can understand, but the staff serving the flights seemed young, unenthusiastic, and not particularly passionate about wine. At one point, one of them even casually mentioned that they hated their job—a comment that instantly took away from the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. Instead of feeling welcomed and engaged, I felt rushed, almost like I was going through a fast-food drive-thru rather than a wine tasting.

It’s a shame, because the location and setting have so much potential. With more emphasis on hospitality and customer engagement, this could much better.

A great place to try wine and beer. A large outdoor seating area on deck and also a nice lawn area with picnic tables with umbrellas. Friendly service. The day we were there the weather was perfect and there was live music. We'll be back.

John was the best!! His service is excellent… made our library tasting amazing with his knowledge and interesting facts and answers to all our questions as new wine tasters. Thank you John - we are so excited to drink our wines again at home!

Wagner Vinyards offered a wonderful tasting experience for my family. Traveling with children, I didn't expect to visit any wineries at all, but Wagner Vinyards has flights for kids with root beer, lemonade, grape juice, and popcorn. We ordered snacks from the cafe and a dry wine flight for the grown ups. The kids fed the fish in the koi pond and they are still talking about it! Awesome family experience with spectacular views! I will tell every family going to fingerlakes to visit Wagner.

Nobody does it better than Wagner Vineyards in Lodi, Seneca Lake. Located on the east side of Seneca, either Wagner or Lamoreaux Landing make a good starting place to explore the east side wineries before driving south back toward Watkins Glendora. Purchased the wine tasting offered by local expert, John Pulos. John explained distinct qualities of Wagner’s Rieslings, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Meritage. He has an interesting background, and we purchased his book “Looking at wine through a different window,” which is chock full of detailed descriptions of the wines, the region, and even has recipes and pairings. Enjoyed a delicious Ginny Lyn Cafe hamburger and clam strip Poboy at the cafe. wonderful scenery and they have an impressive retail store. Check event calendar for live music. Park near Winery Entrance and it is handicap accessible

The winery part of the experience was great and very tasty, but the service…… wow.

1) they are very passive aggressive and were acting as if they all were inconvenienced when we asked them for something that they are paid to do?
2) Lunch at the cafe was subpar at best. We came for a bachelorette and our server had absolutely no personality at all and as someone who worked in service for years, it was clear she did NOT enjoy her job. We asked for fries with our meals and at different temps (two med rare, one well) and they all came out well done and one without fries. We got CHARGED for the “extra” fries?

Very interesting experience overall…

Service at cafe wasn’t great. Server didn’t care and our orders weren’t right, nor was our bill. Super subpar food and service.

The wine flights and lake views are fabulous! I would give this place a five star rating but the employees are less than accommodating and are quite passive aggressive. As someone who has worked in the food industry for years, I know that passive aggressive behavior does not make tip money nor make customers feel at home. Maybe the employees would be kinder if they had fans outside to keep them cool!
Management/owners, please make it a priority to get some air flow out in the deck. People were leaving early due to being so hot. Obviously, it’s July, but air flow keeps the customers longer.

John was amazing! It was a pleasure sipping wine while listening to the history behind each grape. I can't wait to read his book. The wine was great, too! This place immediately became my favorite winery on Seneca.
