We stopped here for a tasting. It's a little confusing getting from the parking lot to the tasting area and the people working behind the counter were not super friendly or engaged. We got flights. The view from the deck here is spectacular. The wines are excellent. We loved everything we tried and ended up buying a lot of bottles to take home. I would say the tasting experience is so-so. Once you get your wine, it's very pleasant. I would put this place near the top of my list to visit. It's definitely worth it.
Wagner Vineyards is a must-visit destination in the Finger Lakes. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning views of Seneca Lake and the welcoming atmosphere. The winery offers an excellent selection of wines, from crisp whites to bold reds, ensuring there's something for every palate.
The tasting experience was fantastic. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the history of the vineyard and details about each wine. We never felt rushed and appreciated the personalized recommendations.
What sets Wagner apart is the complete experience. Between the beautiful grounds, outstanding wines, craft brewery offerings, and delicious food options, it's easy to spend an entire afternoon here. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply exploring the Finger Lakes, Wagner Vineyards delivers an unforgettable experience.
Highly recommended—we'll definitely be returning on our next trip to the Finger Lakes!
Good food at the Ginny Lee, outside seating available weather permitting, large dining room. Decent wine, they have a tasting bar and a cute gift shop.
What a special place! Great wines, awesome vibes. The food from the cafe was great too! Wagner makes a near-perfect Niagara wine 😋
We stopped here on a weekend afternoon in April. It was rainy so there weren’t too many other people here. A friend of mine recommended we stop here while in the area.
The wine was great. The property was nice but I would like to explore more when the weather is good.
The prices were the same as other wineries. Parking was easy and staff were friendly.
Wonderful tasting with John Pulos. The wines at Wagner never fail to please and we never leave a tasting with John not knowing more than we knew when we came in.
After visiting this past weekend to do a tasting of the wines and craft beers I am very surprised of how unimpressed I was. This was a highly regarded winery in my research of the area but I don't see why. Firstly, I understand I went during a slow season but that should have opened the door for a more intimate tasting experience. Instead we selected what we wanted with no input from staff and were sent to a table. Secondly, the wines themselves were not impressive. I found them to be lacking in character compared to other wines in the region. Price was average for tastings but I would have rather spent it elsewhere.
John was amazing! We came for the library tasting in January and he taught us so much! It was a great way to get to know the wine varieties of the region on our first trip!
I’ve never been disappointed in a tasting with John regardless of how many times we visit.
Another area we find ourselves in admiration over is the staff across the board at Wagner. Always helpful and friendly. They have a good thing going and always make us feel welcomed.
The wine was ok. I got a wine flight and it was fine. I wish customer service was better. They served us and then disappeared. We were disappointed. Im sure they would have been better if they were busier. Not sure if we will be back.

We did a wine tasting here today, and it was an Incredible experience! John was very knowledgeable and fun, and he really made the whole experience! Listening to the history of the different wines was so amazing! And he gave us a recommendation for a good place to get a burger. We'll probably be back next time we're in the area.
Wagner is one of the oldest wineries in the FLX and one of the benefits of that is that they have a great back catalog of library wines. And with that, you have the opportunity to do a library tasting with the ever knowledgeable, kind, and engaging John Pulos. If you’re looking to learn about the history of the FLX and to do some side by sides of current releases vs library wines (5+ years old), this is a really fantastic stop. We have always enjoyed our tastings with John and cannot recommend the tasting experience that he provides enough.
We were participating in the Deck the Halls wine tour. We enjoy dry red wines which were not being offered on the tour so we requested a tasting with John Pulos. Our time with him ended up being the highlight of our entire weekend! He is knowledgeable, personable, and tells great stories that made each wine that he shared with us come alive with history and context. If you go to Wagner, don’t leave without spending time with John Pulos!
Friendly staff, quality wine
This was my second time at Wagner Vineyards and they never disappoint. I was hoping that John would be our wine guide and was so happy to see him. His vast knowledge of the history of wine turns an otherwise everyday tasting into something more. I can’t wait to come back and hope to see John again!
