We had 17 people for a brunch/ lunch party and everyone was delighted with their food. Sarah was on top of service and the kitchen was great with timing so many meals

The food is always consistently amazing, especially steak and taco nights. Great service and drinks. Sometimes a bit loud with live music but that’s to be expected.

I came here because I wanted to go somewhere different. Every birthday or celebration we usually go the same generic restaurants. I wanted something but I didn't want to drive too far because of time. I looked online and I saw this place in Long Beach. The menu looked good and reasonable. When I made the reservation I told her I needed a big table because we are a tall family everybody's over 6ft tall, me being the tallest at 6'5. They accommodated us which was good. We got there a little after 9 and we seated. Now I'm not labeling the restaurant in a negative way but when we walked in all eyes were upon us, you could feel the stares as we were about to be seated. The bartender in particular our eyes made four as she stared on me. I'm used to things like that but this felt different it's as if they've never seen people before. My wife didn't seem bothered which is unusual so we sat and ordered our food. The Kung Pao calamari was quite tasty and the jumbo shrimp rigatoni was quite tasty and flavorful. Our server was quite pleasant and he never made us feel uncomfortable or rushed because the restaurant was about to close. He gave honest reviews about what to order and portion sizes.
It has a lively summer beach vibe and it's spacious. The music was good by my fellow Jamaican dj and the food was good. My family and I spoke about the experience we had. BTW this was an early Fathers Day dinner for me. Some won't return and I may come back for the pasta.
Now I've been treated a whole lot worse at some other corporate restaurants. We weren't treated anyway. The one complaint I had and I had to restrain myself was this kid who came and slammed down the to go burger I ordered on the table as if he was trying to send a message or he was annoyed and wanted to go home. I went to confront him but my son held me back. The hostesses were not only beautiful but quite friendly and respectful. Being Jamaican 6'5 360lbs I get the stares a lot or if I used to play football.
After spending my afternoon enjoying the US Open, food and drinks and wonderful staff, a random new person who worked there decided at literally the very last stroke for the win of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock to change the channel. When I asked him, what are you doing? Please don’t do that. He said I’m putting soccer on now. And refused to put the game back.
So if you care about sports and are involved in the game, I strongly recommend you do not go here. Which by all appearances is a sports bar. It would’ve been an A+ experience but this ruined a great afternoon

★ 1 — The current laughing stock of the town
JJ Coopers used to be the place you took people to show off the town. Good food, sharp management, an atmosphere that made you want to linger over another round. People talked about it for the right reasons. That restaurant is gone — and what’s replaced it has become the running joke around here.
The decline isn’t subtle. The food has fallen off a cliff: uninspired, carelessly prepared, and nowhere near worth what they’re charging. The service is worse — slow, indifferent, and acting like your being there is an inconvenience to them. And the atmosphere that used to be the whole draw now just feels tired and neglected, like nobody at the top cares anymore. Because clearly, nobody does.
What’s genuinely surprising is how fast it happened. A place this beloved doesn’t usually collapse this quickly, but JJ Coopers managed it. Ask around town and you’ll get the same eye-roll every time. The only people still bothering to walk through the door are out-of-towners who haven’t gotten the memo yet — and they leave understanding exactly why the locals stopped coming.
In an area absolutely packed with restaurants, you have to stand out with either a menu people crave or service that makes them feel taken care of. JJ Coopers no longer manages either, and it shows in every part of the experience. There are far too many better options nearby to ever waste another evening here.
Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

For uber pick up limitless waiting does'nt metter u picking one or more item ...wait can be go to 40 minutes..
Wow! The support staff really needs to be trained better on hospitality. The busboy brought water and my friend asked for a straw. The busboy said “I’m not your server”. This is unacceptable and needs to be corrected. Literally, straws were on the bar and available ten feet away. I had to get up and get a straw myself. The nachos were good but way too small for the $22 dollar price.

Met people for Easter lunch. Food was good except for an overcooked burger. Service was really good. There was a two-man band playing.
