Good Neighbor Queens

This place is truly one of the best hidden gems in Queens. I’ve been coming here for the past ten years and they’re still serving up good FRESH eats with service that makes you feel like family. The energy reminds me of an elevated corner store from back in the day, always good music with a large variety of things to snack on. The owners’ good vibe will have you start your day off right and rushing back before they close.

Why it took me so long to give them 5 stars? I’m not sure but this is my go to EVERY time I’m in the office nearby. To the smoothies and sandwiches to the rotating soups. The best grab and go you can look for.

The woman owner is very nice, but the male co-owner was insanely rude when I asked a simple question about my smoothie. (The question: how much peanut butter is in this smoothie? Not a crazy thing to ask at all....) The woman had to step in and answer for him, because he was being so unpleasant and dismissive. How do you manage a food establishment and not know basic things about the food you're serving? For the prices they charge, I'd love to not be treated like shit....
