Macaron Craft Oizumi

Family run, hidden gem in the basement of a condo complex in LIC. It's very hidden, you need to go down a flight of stairs and through an unassuming hallway until you reach a door with signage, where I rang the doorbell.

Inside it's more like walking into a kitchen than a cafe or bakery, there's no seating or counter to order at. I was greeted by a very lovely woman who I assume owns the business. There were menus on the wall for me to pick macarons from. I got a box of 6. The owner was super friendly and sweet! The whole experience felt like supporting a local, family run operation.

The macarons themselves were amazing! Some of the best I've had in the city. Adorable and skillfully done, stuffed full of filling, super soft, and accurate to the flavor it's promises (vanilla, strawberry, etc). Very reasonably priced too.

I needed a lot of macarons for a bridal shower and I emailed out about flavors, Miwa responded quickly and said she would have them ready for me! Sure enough, when I showed up she had a warm welcome and all of the macarons ready. She gave provided boxes so that each could be wrapped separately for the bridal shower gift. Not only did they look amazing, they tasted even better! The bride loved them and so did all of the guests!

Definitely recommend , this was a 5 star experience and it’s always nice to support a local businesswoman!

Super easy to work with and such a kind baker! I ordered from Ohio for a friend living in Long Island, and she made the whole process seamless. She even added a personal touch with a handwritten note and made sure it got to my friend on time. Highly recommend!

The specialty macarons are delicious and the designs are very aesthetic. The owner is also very nice - I would definitely come back for more!

I got mango, rose, lavender, pistachio, taro, and matcha macarons here and they were all delicious!

These macarons are not only cute little art pieces (the decorated ones) but they are so fresh and DELICIOUS! Also Oizumi was very lovely and personable. I will definitely go back. The store is very hard to find though, but I'm happy I did find it :)

The macarons were not only SO cute; but they were very delicious as well!

No frills, no fluff…just honest, amazingly delightful macarons. The owner (Miwa) is just as sweet as her edible treats :)

Macaron flavors change with the seasons, but chocolate, raspberry and vanilla are popular options that are available year-round. Those are the main three that come in the standard size as well as large, which is similar in diameter to an ice cream cookie. Salted caramel is my favorite.
