Good food (except the pre-made clearly old California roll that came in the dinner bento) but TERRIBLE service. We were the only people there and the waitress forgot and messed up our order. Not just that, but she was on a phone call the ENTIRE time WHILE she was “attending” us. She demanded a tip and forcefully wrote $10 over where we left it at $0. So would not recommend. I’m confused by all the good reviews ngl.

it was fairly empty when we went so it felt a little quiet. we didn’t get the omakase, but the food was solid and service was really great. would recommend for a quick bite

Chef Alex is one of a kind. The omakase here is amazing and matches what you’ll get in the city…honestly even better. The best part? A fraction of the price. No fringe, no hype, just a guy dishing out some super creative pieces of sushi. He’s been at it for years. My wife and I come here every two months. We also take friends and family as well. Everyone LOVES this place.

Can not speak highly enough of Chef Alex and his omakase curation.

He walked us through every course and meticulously prepped with love and care - could not decide a favorite as every single course was amazing . We cannot wait to return!

The sushi here is such a pleasant surprise for the price! Everything felt fresh, and you can tell the chef takes their craft seriously—every piece was made with care and precision. The omakase was simple but thoughtful, and the balance of flavors was just right. It’s rare to find such good quality sushi at this price point, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely worth checking out if you want a satisfying sushi experience that won’t break the bank!

I ordered sushi online for take out, the website clearly stated it’s 2 sushi per serving, but they put only 1 sushi per serving. Misleading and very disappointing

Chef Alex is the man!! At this price range it’s the best omakase you’re gonna get. Great variety and better service, would love to be a regular if I was in the neighborhood.

Great deal for 3 rolls, and they were all fantastic, although the salmon was my favorite. Also had the opportunity to chat with the chef which was a treat.

A 5-star omakase meal that rivals fish in top Manhattan omakase spots in an unassuming restaurant in Astoria.

Chef Alex puts so much care and takes such pride in his craft. I love tasting the fish and what accentuates it; I don’t need bells and whistles and Chef Alex creates wonderful flavors that truly highlight the unique taste and texture of the fish.

The ambience is much to be desired, but the omakase speaks for itself- and at a very fair price point that I would go so far as to call a deal. What a gem.
