SAPPS is my go-to neighborhood spot in LIC whenever I’m craving sushi. Their sushi sashimi combo entree is my absolute favorite and it never disappoints. The fish is always fresh and beautifully presented. If you’re lucky, you might even get fatty tuna in both the sushi and sashimi selection, which is such a treat.

I also love how accommodating the staff are. I’m not a huge fan of the eel avocado roll that comes with the combo, so I usually ask to swap...

Solid spot with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of Japanese food options other than sushi! They also have a creative cocktail list. My favorite bites were the yakitori, particularly the chicken skin—so crunchy and flavorful. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was also really good. Easy walk from Queensboro/ Queens Plaza subway stops.

Sushi was very fresh and delicious!
Fried calamari was outstanding, and the salad is a must!
I will try the miso soup next time!

I recommend the rock shrimp!
