i came in today to dine in, and even though it was a busy day and they seemed to be a little understaffed, the workers were very quick and very nice! the girl making the rolls did an amazing job with it and they were all amazing and well done! i’ll definitely be coming back in the future!!

Went in person when they first opened and thought it was pretty good. Ordered takeout today and was very disappointed. Fish did not look or taste fresh.

Had a fancy dinner yesterday at the Peak Hudson Yard, Ordered a tuna sashimi as starter, that’s what leads today for an easy sushi and sashimi lunch. Not expecting today at Temakase, the salmon is fishy as hell, and the rolls not even rolled up. I wound not spending some $50 again at this business .*ends up getting the salmon appetizer replacement, it’s much better, but why? Why not getting thing right at the first, when are are the neighbors and we could be a loyal customer if none of this nonsense ever happen.

Always great food and service. They're very accommodating. Yes they get overwhelmed but with time they will get better. Did take out and done and enjoyed every time.

Came here for dinner today and was extremely underwhelmed. I loooove hand roll spots and this was by far the worst one I've ever been to. So many things wrong... - rice was undercooked, as a sushi restaurant this should be a BASIC - rolls came out too fast. My boyfriend and I were still in the middle of eating a roll when the next one came out. We found ourselves either stuffing down one to keep up with the pace or eating soggy seaweed for the next roll. We had only sat down for 10 minutes and were already on our FOURTH roll... what's the rush????? - some of the rolls were under filled in the backside - toro tasted funky Giving this place 2 stars (instead of 1) because at least the food was edible but honestly not worth the money at all.

a very solid meal in LIC. temakase is located in the upper level of JACX food court. the handrolls were very good and at a solid price point. it was $36 for 6 rolls i believe... the fish quality was solid, flavors were good, and the staff were very friendly. you cannot get the diy box at the restaurant (only for takeout), but I'm glad we decided to dine-in and do handrolls. i would definitely return!

Ordered the Standard DIY box (for two people) - costs $50. The box at first looks really small, but is filled completely to the top: 4/5 with over-cooked sushi rice and the other 1/5 with diced fish. The fish itself was relatively tasty and fresh which is why this rating is 2* instead of 1*. Lost one * each for the following: mushy rice, poor ratio of rice to fish, and not enough nori and ginger.

Hands down the beat sushi ive ever had! The blue crab ? and wagyu beef was out of this world. Very friendly and attentive staff and the location itself was immaculately clean . I would go back again and again to this hidden gem

Looks like they deleted their Yelp page. Horrible delivery experience. Old Maine uni that tasted like detergent. Ordered diy box with wagyu beef and they substitute for something of lesser value without contacting me. Overall not recommended.

Food was great, the lady rolling the hand rolls was so pleasant and nice! The reason for three stars it the hostess at Temakase Long Island City was so off putting. From the moment we walked in to ordering our food, she's the reason we give this place less stars. Have your reservation confirmation with you and don't trust her with any menu questions.

What an amazing new spot! We were so pleased with quick service, friendly ambiance and impressive variety on a menu ! Definitely coming back for more delicious hand rolls !

Delicious hand rolls - favorites were definitely the scallop, crab and toro. We didn't have to wait to sit around 7:30 but I wouldn't arrive later since JACX closes at 9. The meal was also timed very well, we didn't have to wait too long for food but you also don't feel like they're trying to rush you out to get more people seated

Staff were super kind and friendly. The rolls however were not. Every roll i ordered, the rice was warm and the fish was ice cold. I could feel the ice cold fish through the seaweed, as i held it. Very unpleasant.

Went here for dinner with a. Group of friends. The food was delicious and filling. We tried each of the appetizers and ordered the “hangry” which was assorted hand rolls. Everything that came out was incredible and we were super pleased with the service as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality sushi in a nice atmosphere.

Amazing sushi. So excited that it’s so close to our apartment. All of the fish was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!
