I recently had a disappointing experience at this restaurant on May 10th. I arrived late at night, was seated at a table, and received my food.
However, just as I was eating, the waitress informed me that the table was reserved and I would need to vacate it when the reserved party arrived. I was confused and frustrated, especially since I had already been served and was in the middle of my meal.

Oulala Restaurant and Lounge is a warm, inviting, and charming Haitian restaurant, a rare find on Long Island. The vibe is pleasant and positive, with traditional decor and murals on the walls creating a fantastic atmosphere. The food is delicious, tasty, and fantastic, with specific hits like the “mama griot” with black rice and extra pikliz, as well as fried snapper and tassot. Everything ordered from the menu is a hit. The drinks, including rum punch and cocktails, are strong, tasty, and yummy. Service is great, top notch, and very fast, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a perfect order. The overall experience is a positive vibe, often enhanced by music like Kompa, soca, and calypso. On weekends, it usually gets pretty lively with a live band or a DJ, making it a favorite spot for many who will definitely be coming back.
