We had a great meal. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed the vegan and traditional menus since our party of three had two vegans. We’ll definitely be back. The vegan Ruben sandwich and the mushroom calamari plate to share are worth the drive across the county!

My wife and I love the food at Brooklyn Organic Kitchen. This visit we brought my son and daughter in law who is vegan. They have plenty of options and cater to those of us with some issues. We always have a good meal there.

We decided to try this restaurant in celebration of my wife’s birthday and ordered breakfast at lunchtime. The omelette was super delicious - though a few of the side potatoes were auditioning for a minor role as charcoal. The lemon blueberry pancakes, on the other hand, were so sugary it felt as though the chef had a personal grudge against my pancreas. I expected them to be somewhat sweetened, but this was over the top. Syrup was offered on the side, but by then it was just comedic, though a glucose monitor would have come in handy. IMO, a sweetness warning should have be added to that menu item — say, four sugar cubes for sweetness, or perhaps 4 insulin needles would have been equally welcome.

The service was courteous, but sluggish for an empty restaurant. It was far too long of a wait for eggs and pancakes, and the price didn't merit the food or the wait time. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but not worth the hype we attributed to it, nor the cost.
