Second Review (Dec. 2025): Visited the lovely Brunch House again and had a great time. It was as if I had never left. We just picked up where we left off and filled in the year-long gap. Of course, I had the delicious chicken and waffles again. Couldn’t wait! They really reworked the dish. It now comes with a larger, fluffier, and slightly sweeter waffle than before. Still served by a friendly waitress with a warm smile, the dish now comes on a paddle serving board instead of a plate.
First review (Dec. 2024): We spent seven days in Putnam Valley and had breakfast at The Brunch House every morning it was open. The staff and owners greeted us warmly, and we shared plenty of laughs together. They offer a good variety of options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious.

This establishment had a brunch with Santa that was advertised at $45 for adults and $25 for kids. However, they charged my 10-year-old $25 for just two plain dried pancakes—no syrup included. The other kids were charged $45 for two eggs and toast. Additionally, they automatically added a 20% tip of $73 for service we never received. I had to get up to grab utensils myself, and the bar staff was the only one who offered a soda refill for my kids. I wish I could upload the receipt to provide proof! Horrible place - would not recommend it ..

I have been coming here since they opened years ago, and it gets better as time goes on. Vilma, the owner, always makes us feel welcomed with a cheerful greeting and smile. The food is top notch, only second to the delicious and creative craft cocktails. Today, as we were pulling up, my 9 year old said that The Brunch House is the best breakfast and brunch place in the world. I can't argue with that!

Probably the best restaurant in Mahopac for brunch. Food made from scratch drinks are amazing, especially the pancakes! The owners are so sweet!
Went here with my niece who loves pancakes and has never had a pancake she didn’t like until now. I tried it myself to make sure and yes something was off. Texture was weird and taste was not good. The sausage also tasted like the frozen kind you purchase at grocery stores. Eggs Benedict was cooked well but unfortunately the sauce and muffin fell flat in flavor and texture. The staff was very friendly and checked in on you. I felt bad telling them our experience with the food was not good but I know id want to know the truth as an owner. They did the right thing and took the pancakes off our bill. Unfortunately I do not see myself coming back here. It’s over priced for the lack of flavor and quality of food you receive. I’ve honestly had better breakfast at a gas station rest stop. It’s unfortunate because it’s clearly a friendly family owned restaurant. Let’s hope they keep asking for more feedback and make some changes

Ordered a Belgium waffle (it taste like it was made with pancake mix did not taste like a waffle). There was only enough fruit and cream to cover half the waffle. My wife ordered an an omelette the spinach tasted like it was freezer burned. We will not be back

This was my first time at The Brunch House for a “girl’s brunch” with friends. Alyssa was our waitress and what an absolute doll she was. Attentive, engaging, knowledgeable, accommodating and adorable. She helped us decide what to have since the menu is huge and full of absolutely mouth watering food (hello cannoli pancakes) and cocktails. I had the “Bronx Tale” with some of the most delicious truffle fries I’ve ever had. Fun, creative drinks for Halloween we’re still on the menu and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend but make sure you car pool since parking is limited! We’ll definitely be back!!! Thanks Alyssa and everyone who makes The Brunch House what it is!
