I've only been to Chat twiceThe service is wonderful. We ate from the Brunch Menu and found everyone in our group of four enjoyed. I had the seafood frittata and had to take it home as it was too much. My husband and friends had the French toast and enjoyed it immensely. The drinks and coffees were very good. Prices were reasonable
Asian Calamari was outstanding as usual. So tender & flavorful. The veal parm special (yes I know it's a steakhouse) was fantastic! Best veal I've ever eaten, so tender & cut like butter. On the bone, butterflied. Husband's filet was cooked perfectly & delicious. Crème brûlée was great, creamy with nice crust on top (@Char - add some berries and it would be even better!). Nicki our server was pleasant & attentive as always. Thanks for a fabulous meal!!

The steak is one of the best in the area, and best in Putnam county for sure. The salad that accompanied the meal was large and fresh. It appears that they re-heat the items that are served with the dinner, such as the twice baked potatoes and crab cake that was on the Char Steak Oscar, however the sauce was delicious. As for the atmosphere, it is great looking restaurant with a fantastic bar, but there is an unusual smell when you enter the restaurant.
